AMV Thieves

Post by pinky75910 » Tue Feb 14, 2006 1:01 am

Wasn't sure where to post this.
Some of my, and several of my friend's amvs were posted on youtube.com *without* our permission. Some give credit. Some give none. And occasionally, there are some who *take* credit. This made me really mad. This could happen to others out there. What should we do?
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

you can flag the video inappropriate and most likely the video will be taken down.

Well.. tried that option.. You can flag it for porno, racial, illegal acts, graphic violence.

<<If you are the copyright owner of this video and feel it has been uploaded without your permission, please follow these directions to submit a copyright infringement notice.>>

But we can't do that, as we don't own the copyrights to anime

I posted on that person's page, request that they remove the video themselves, but thats all I can really do.

looks like they changed it... use to be able to flag it then give your reasons and that was that... try flaging it as an illegial act.

I think that flagging pertains to video content, not what the uploader does.

And this is just the start. There's more. What can we do?
