Have a good Trigun idea for my first vid, would like input

TRIGUN SPOILERS

For my very first AMV I've decided I don't want to make some newbie video nobody will download. I'm going all out to try and do a good job from the beginning. My first video will be Trigun and it will be to "Duel of the Fates." For those who don't know duel of the fates is the music in star wars episode 1 during the big light-sabre battle. I play on starting the dramatic music with the credits (without text) and/or a flashback scene. From there I'll move more or less chronologically through the characters and then cut with vash standing in front in the words knives. Then, when the music comes back up I'm gonna have the gung-ho-guns fighting. The music will die down and I'll have so dramatic scenes. Then when the music comes up again I'll have the last few gung-ho-guns and a dramatic scene with Wolfwood dying and everyone crying. The last section will be dedicated to the Vash/Knives fight.

So, how's it look for a first video?

Technically, it's already been done before. However, also "technically," it's not the traditional version of the song :P.

If you want to do it, go for it. The song can fit with just about anything (it's a VERY generic sounding "battle" theme... sorry if that offends any of the "Star Wars" fans ^^;;), and thus leads to AMVs (fifteen, total, came up when searching simply for "Duel of the Fates," to a wide variety of anime).

The only "problem" you may run into is that.. well.. it's been done before. A lot. I'm sure a lot of these people all used similar scene-types with certain parts of the song, etc. If this doesn't sway your idea to go ahead with the video, great! Do it for yourself. Just keep in mind that if/when you go public with it, you'll unfortunately have the prejudice of using a song that's been used well over a dozen times before ^^.

Good luck..

Granted its been done before but I say Hell, go for it. Don't let the fact that it's been done before stop you (unles you maybe want to do Linkin Park to DBZ). You seem to have the video wellplanned out so have fun with it.

duel of the fates has been done for every popular show/movie...an amv with that song either has long battles...wars(battles)...and it doesn't turn out that dramatic

I'm for any new Trigun vid!

But really..it doesn't matter if it's been done before or not..if you think it's a good idea, run with it..you do seem to have it well planned out. True..you may get busted for doing something oh-so-not-orginal..but who cares? I get gripped at cause all I ever do is Trigun vids and there's so many of them out there. Right now..that's the anime I feel most comfortable with while I'm still learning the ins and outs of AMV making. *Not to say that I've not been working with other anime, I just think those betas are, well, not all that great :? *

So..throw caution to the wind..flameproof your nether regions from the nay sayers that will emerge and run with it!
