In search of a song

Postby Setra » Sat Jun 21, 2003 3:20 pm

I'm looking for a song to fit my next AMV project.

The song needs to start of slow...kinda dark, but still be soft.
Then it should be a happy towards the middle. Then it starts to build...
And in the end it should be sad, heavy, and on the verge of hardcore.

Its gonna be done to "Beyond" of the Animetrix (the one with the girl that has two colored hair and a star on her cheek)

So yeah...and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Worth a shot:

"Avengelist" by Edward Ka-Spel

If you go to epitonic.com there is a streamable version of the song. However, the ending doesn't go "hardcore"

Another (more useful but less indie cred) option would be "Circuit Breaker" by the Electric Hellfire Club

I checked out both songs, and they are both really cool, and I like 'em a lot...but there not exactly what I'm looking for. I might use them for something else in the future though.

Thanx

It's a bitch to find ones with happy parts that aren't happy all the way through.
Good luck, though.

How about Down in the Park?
There are about 500 versions of it, but I would recommend Gary Numan (the original), Foo Fighters (for bringing the rock) or Girls Under Glass (because it happens to be the one I'm listening to right now).

try Isis - Poison eggs, it really doesn't have a happy part tho but it's got a hell of a buildup in the entire song, or try Poison the well - Parks and what you meant to me, come to think of it that song sounds perfect to what you are describing
