Jethro Tull-Hymn 43

Post by tuxedomarty » Mon Sep 24, 2012 5:40 pm

I used this song in my Tekken Tag Tournament 2 soundtrack, and I think I want to use it in an AMV now, but I'm at a loss of what anime(s) would match up with it.

Oh father high in heaven -- smile down upon your son
whose busy with his money games -- his women and his gun.
Oh Jesus save me!
And the unsung Western hero killed an Indian or three
and made his name in Hollywood
to set the white man free.
Oh Jesus save me!
If Jesus saves -- well, He'd better save Himself
from the gory glory seekers who use His name in death.
Oh Jesus save me!
I saw him in the city and on the mountains of the moon --
His cross was rather bloody --
He could hardly roll His stone.
Oh Jesus save me!
I can't stand weeaboos and people who keep badmouthing dubbed anime and say it sucks.

I would try to go with Gungrave due to it's mafia theme.

or Trigun. I haven't seen it, but parts of the lyrics fit very well as far as I know. It's a scifi western anime.
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases. :amv:

It's about the mafia? I always thought it dealt with religion (eg "Our father up in Heaven, smile down upon your son" and "Jesus saves, well he better save himself!" and "Jesus save me!"). I haven't seen Gungrave, but it does sound familiar.
