Good songs that haven't been used.

Postby Corran » Sun Feb 16, 2003 2:27 am

Ever since I have begun editing music videos I had the idea of using the song Sweet Surrender by Sarah McLachlan to some anime. Such a project is still a ways away for me since I am currently on other projects but I was a bit disapointed that there isn't already an AMV to this song. I wouldn't care if someone did an AMV to this song, afterall I would almost undoubtedly use a different anime once I finally get around to it but this is just one song I would love to see be used.

(This is mostly my collector side speaking.)

If anyone has any other songs they feel this way about then go ahead and let us all know. Maybe someone will go for it.

Hmm I hadn't heard this song before...

I think I'll make one using it.

I just finished my Trigun/lain sets so Now I have Hellsing, Bebop, Strawberry Eggs, Trigun, and Lain to pull from.

I'm sure I can come up with something.

Actually, the Evanescence song is called "Bring Me To Life."

Yeah it's a common misconception.

Like The Police Track "Every Breath You Take" being called "You Belong To Me"

I think a couple of BeeGees songs (except "Staying Alive) haven't been used:

Night Fever

Don't throw it all away (or whatever it's called)

Tragedy

Also, I'd like to point out, "Kung Fu Fighting" is NOT a Beegees hit! :D

I personally think that some classical songs should be used more. I'm making one to Fur Elise by Beetoveen (I think how U spell his name) to Cowboy Bebop. Random clips in between, somewhat random, and the chorus is going to cap all of Episode (its the episode where we get the first fight between sPike and Vicious in the church) I think that classical songs can be really good for AMVs. And I think that bands such as The Pillows (did sound track to FLCL) and bands like dragon Ash are really really good for AMVs. I don't know...those are always good options if U ask me.
As for the actual songs...

"Crazy Sunshine" / "Hybrid Rainbow" / "I Think I Can" by The Pillows

and

"Viva Viva La Revolution" / "Devil Rider" by Dragon Ash (Note: I don't know the exact names of those songs, but I think they are right)

Out Peace

Yeah the Pillows are great in that soundtrack. :) At one point I considered making an AMV to Yorii Gallop (Also used in Azumanga Daioh) but I chose another project instead. : /

There is already a vid to Hybrid Rainbow *goes off to download it :D
