AMVs that also feature footage of the artist or group who
I've seen a few AMVs where in addition to the footage for the anime used, there's also footage of the artist or group who performs the song in the video. I've been thinking about doing something like this for one of my next videos. Is it a good idea?
All my haters:I'm awesome, and you're just jealous and biased elitists. Fuck you very much.
And I still say CASSHERN SINS SUCKS ASS!!!!

Depends on how you use it. If it's relevant to what you're trying to show or if you want to show something with the original music video you couldn't get across with anime, go ahead. But just using footage from a band to fill in gaps generally isn't a good idea, as it can distract and if not used correctly can look awkard and out of place.

Vellure seems to do that quite a bit. At the very least, Starlite and mainstream love do it. Check it out and decide for yourself
