And as if posting in all the threads that this video would qualify to be included in, here's a seperate thread just for my video :P

If you haven't seen this video, you're making the baby Jesus cry! Is that what you want?

P.S. - If you do want the baby Jesus to cry, maybe you should watch this video anyway. I dunno. :P

With the utmost affection. I wish I would have had more time to spend with him in PTC, GA, learning about track mattes. He did some really awesome things with them in igavekoopvd

Well, I do have to say it was a very good video. You were a little pushy to give it its own thread, and bump it with all them big images though.

There were several beats in there that you could have emphasized better, and the ending, while a good one, lacked the final buildup-blast of the song's ending. Great original edits in there though, and what timings you did use were dead-on. The big stutter in the second verse was excellent, along with many others. Your scene choices were great too for the majority of it.

While it was very good and does get my nomination, I still don't think it was worth so much pushy fanfare and bumping. :P

 What ARE you on?

That vid wound up far from what I had anticipated. Really I have to thank Garylisk for teaching me all I know about the matte; if it wasn't for him abominations like OMG Du Hast couldn't be possible. Rut, you would be pleased if you saw the current standings in the apt. In one corner my system, in the other Add's futon and edit station. Its a most frightening situation. Worse yet, he and I are teaching Betsey (my g/f's sister, not sure if you remember her from awa) how to edit now too. You should come hangout next time your in town, sadly Germany is a bit out of the way for me.

I particularly didn't like that video. You didn't use the song to it's full potential. There were several oppourtunities for great effects, and you missed more than half of them. Instead you plasted only some partial effects in there, making it seem like you didn't put a lot of effort in to it. I know that effects aren't the only thing in videos, and that the story counts just about twice as much as effects do. But I felt that since the story is so hard to get across in an AMV, because it's something probably no one would be able to catch on to without reading the manga or watching the anime, that the effects would make up for that. You did use some creative effects in the first place, but didn't use them to fully express the song. I felt this video could've been something great, but it skipped beats and random effects just make it bad. Better luck next time.

Admittedly, pushing the video like this does leave you open to the more... finicky of reviewers, who will tell you exactly why your video did not live up to their standards.

*looks up*

However- pushing your video ALSO finally made me bite down and download it, since I try to avoid Linking Park AMV's.

Fantastic video. Flat out. Of course, it could have been 'better', but I think Euphoria could have been 'better'.
Everything on the org, in fact, could be 'better'.

Definitey one of the best uses of Linkin Park in a while, and not only do you carry the storyline well, but you capture the emotion of those episodes as well. Great timing, great scene choice, an i could kiss you for keeping this visually as linier as possible.

You have my nomination (and very likely my vote) for best character vid.

See? Shameless self-promotion works! (now go watch my vid *pokes*)

Ok, fine. While you can't deny that yatta is the best for any year, I'll change my nomination for best vid of the year to this...
