I seriously second that especially the way the creator really twisted the original plot of Tsukihime! :D

Thirded..
Fact is that so far this is the only one I have also nominated as AMV of the Year.. (and best use of effects and most artistic and..)
It's this year's Gothic Fairytale. Kicks ass in every aspect but I doubt it'll win anything :(

Hollow

The creepiest AMV that I've watched in the past year was deafeuphoria's Paranoia Gimmik. There's just something about the music, trippy editing style, and the Satoshi Kon-ness of it all that makes me scared to watch this late at night. I also nominated it for best use of visual effects, though it's not so much effects as some really, really good synchrage.

I actually found "The AMV before Holloween" humourous... Maybe that says something about my sense of humor, or maybe because that was the original context of the song.

Very nice and twisted. Makes me want to see that show just to see the original context. It also has a clearly defined and consistant theme/story that I particularly like.

This one disturbed me to no end so I deleted it after watching.

No, you're right on. AMV Before Halloween, especially the credits, is just humorous (not horrific or disturbing in any way) and does not belong under the category Horror.
BEST HORROR/TERROR VIDEO description wrote:Horror frightens you with intense visuals - the supernatural, blood and gore visions of death. Terror frightens you with what you have not yet seen or things that are yet to happen- it is the fear of a haunted house, the suspense of an approaching murderer, a disturbing environment, strange happenings, hanging over the chasm on the brink of life or death. By whatever means the video takes to scare, unnerve or disturb you, this one achieves the goal of being the most exciting and frightening video.

Better yet, do you classify the film The Nightmare Before Christmas as a horror or comedy?

I just saw Spawns "Noctern" off the ACROSS site. Now that is a good horror video, no doubt about it. Creepy visuals, a slow onimous song and very appropriate effects. To bad it's not on this site.

Good point. Comedy in my book.[/i]
