I think it's a really good idea to open it up again in a few months, and keep collecting entries until next summer. It gives people more time to work with multiple ideas instead of trying to squeeze out one or two in a shorter time period.

Well, Project Editor neo is done in August. That's two months. Then I've got other various MEP's to finish up.

Perhaps September-November or somewhere in between. I'm definitely not gonna start it up immediately again, and give it time to rest, but I also want to give it enough time so that we can get really high quality entires for next summer. :D

No I don't, as a matter of fact. You got the code and I'll throw our special banner on it. :D

EDIT: And by code, I don't mean the super awesome coordinator. :nose:

EDIT2: Oh, and everybody make sure and give doki a big thanks. I sent him a pm and he approved our >100 MB request. So now we'll have the MP4 on Local and the Xvid on Invictius.

EDIT3: And the new ZarxGui's ETA makes me sad. I've been spending 3 hours encoding, and I've still got 2 to go. July 31st needs to hurry up and get here so I can buy a new rig and quit the suckaged that is 1.8 GHZ and 2 GB Ram. :(

EDIT4: Banner's up. :bzz:

And it's why I usually use AMV simple. If I hadn't needed to just swap the audio, I would have used simple and I would have already been done 2 hours ago. >_<

It's what the Russian editors use to encode their videos. It uses a little outdated version of H264, but in my experience, the quality is just as good as ZarxGui, takes *realtively* lower encode times and doesn't require much know-how video specs wise. Most of the org editors really don't seem to like it, but I've grown extremely fond of it. You can have deluxe "high quality" encode, the "preview" encode for beta tests and a "standard" encode for just regular footage.
