DUde you don't tell us you're going to download footage since that isn't allowed. And that aside, use an .mkv fansub if you can't find a raw, they're soft subbed anyways and quality never really mattered for AMV Hell.

Thanks for your help. I just can't stand it when people make an AMV and there are subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Also, I don't remember too many scenes from the AMV Hell series that still had the subs on the bottom, which led me to believe that it was some sort of unwritten rule.

I think they meant "fansubs." If you're doing a parody, you should follow the guidelines and email your idea to them. You'll get a definite answer that way.
