just because its an (not to seldom) used format it doesn't mean it's good. I'm not a file container nazi, but I am rather audiophile.

You wouldn't approve of a wmv either, now would you?

I would approve a .wmv with WC9 and not with WC3 in it. It´s a huge difference and the same can go for a .wma.

Your eyes, your ears.

I'd rather have best possible and wouldn't take the lower when a better one is avaiable for the same price.

The issue is infact NOT that you're 'new'. And of course we have the right to tell you what you are doing right or wrong, isn't that actually even something good that points you in the right direction?

-Frozen|Denial- wrote:@Kev -- Why does it matter that the subtitle is the same name as a RED album and/or MEP? This isn't RED. I'll change it if many people actually care about that, but I don't see why it matters all that much.

If there'd suddenly be a second FrozenDenial around, how would you feel about it?

It just seems pretty lazy and uninspired copying the name of another project.

Ah. I was under the impression that you were all deciding to not do this because I was a noob or something. I understand that it points me in the right direction, but it seemed that you were just harping me about my supposed noobness.

If there was a second FrozenDenial around, I'd ask them if they knew I existed prior to their name choosing. I was unaware of the subtitle for the RED project until I went and looked after you brought this up.

Well from the way you've been responding to posts so far it looks like you got the patience for running an MEP at the very least. I haven't seen you on forums at all till now or seen any work from you so I just assumed you were rushing into something you may not be prepared for.

If you get a mix together that your happy with and I'm interested in one of the tracks, I'll consider joining. All though if you want some advice, for band meps its probably better to get some input from people that like the band song wise so you can hopefully make a mix that everyone gets something they want out of, letting them choose their own timeframes though can make the mixing alot more harder though (learned that the hard way) so careful there.

Songs I'm interested in order from most to least:
Te Amo I Hate You - I've had an Idea for this for a while but there isnt enough footage for a complete release I think.
Re-birth
What Comes Around (Day of the Dead Mix) – Don’t confuse this with the original, it was made for the resident evil first movie. It's on the audio CD from the movie.
What You Deserve - I've edited to this already so I'd like not to again but if its all thats left I'd still do it to be a part of the mep.

Other then that I wouldn't join unless I could find a good anime/track combo to work with.

As for other stuff, you should probably mention what AR, Size, framerate, etc your planning on using in this mep so people get a better idea you know what your doing and they don't end up surprised later. I'd check out other MEP threads if you haven’t already as well as other guides.

I don't particularly care what the name of the mep is but I'm all for naming it something that isn't being used already. It's easier to name something after you've seen what it has become anyway.

Oh all so, I have alot of other stuff going on allready so flexable deadlines ftw.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Honestly the only track that interested me was the last one (don't know the name, 'cause I'm not really a big fan of this band. care to enlighten?)

@Eve-Fan, he did actually mention the technicals before this was changed to an interest gauge, fairly standard, but thorough. 29.97, no naruto ect, no interlacing, He's done some planning.

The only problems I saw, were

a) choose a single frame size, it will save you from alot of work and avoid confusion.
b) I don't recall if you said to use DivX for beta's, or finals. If the former, fine. If the later...you may wish to change that.

Also, any themes or styles you want for the MEP, or just straight up band tribute?

I haven't put anything up on the Org yet, I started out on NoobTube and have generally stayed there if only due to the fact that for some reason whenever I try to up to the Org using FTP, my videos reach about 87% and then they restart the transfer, leading into a never-ending circle of non-uploading :?

I always wonder why everyone on this forum is under the impression that I'm a guy. I'm a girl :|
...Probably has to do with the whole "There are no girl AMV editors" delusion that I've heard a bit of before...

As for the rest, I have a ton of patience. Trust me. I've been editing for four years, I used to have to deal with WMM before Vegas was a big AMV software. Also, DivX stuff was for betas. I wouldn't take DivX for finals, no way. :nono:

Themes and styles? Probably just generally something well-done and powerful, though the main theme would be a generic Ill Niño tribute.

Even with the addendum "until shown otherwise" rule 37 is still perfectly valid. Especially since you seem to like hanging out with my mom :|

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Seriously though, many of our more popular editors and frequent forum goers are girls, I doubt you'll run into the sexism card much around here.

I've seen some of Frozen Denial's work on the Tube. I say she is pretty good. Blaze/Jomac is also collabing with her right now. I've seen a beta . In general, even though she's been Tube-based, she is friends with quite a few people here on the Org.

Your mom tastes better with chocolate on top.

Anywho, I think I just ran into the sexism. Nice to see you too, Kev.

It's not sexism, don't worry, it's just kev recycling tired 4chan jokes.

I like ill nino and I was actually thinking about trying to get one going after I got done with all my MEP parts, but depending on how it goes i'd also think about joining yours, so good luck either way.

Sexism, Kev recycling, same difference. Both are blasphemy.

Thanks for the good luck. It's been a while since I've heard from you.
