Just a small update to say that I've been focusing most of my AMV time on a video Im working on for Anime Expo. After the deadline (May 1), then I'll focus on getting this MEP done. It's been too long already!

Ah! Pyro! Forgot to mention, but I did get your PM about the ending credits, and I'll get you the clip as soon as I possibly can. I'll try and do it tonight if possible.

Code: Not a problem, Most have been somewhat preparing for battle clips or showing some kind of resolve.

Send it to me and Momoko. Momoko is finishing up a class in after effects and she would be quite handy in adding stuff at the end of the credits. I also have after effects now but I have no clue as to how to use it and would basically experiment to get used to it.

Since there were a couple of things missing in the credits, do you want me to send my review of it as well, Pyro?

Pyrolord, did you get my message on myspace about track 14?

EDIT* Looking back at my attempt at the credits I notice something ELSE I did wrong. Each credit fades away too fast. No clue why I didn't fix that. But I wanted a 7-9 seconds for each title to display, or something like that.

LivingFlame wrote:Well, I have nothing to do with this project; I just dropped in to see how it was coming along. But, to try and solve your problem, export your video as Quicktime and try to open it in VirtualDubMod (via AviSynth) with the QTSource plugin for AviSynth. (Download it and stick it in AviSynth's plugin folder.) They say it's still buggy, but it's worked fine for me in the past.

Alternatively, you could try the Sheer codec. It's hellishly expensive unless you're a student, but they have free trials that you can put on your Mac and a free Reader that you can just toss on your PC.

Oh, and I hope this project goes well. Seems interesting. (Probably because I like the music. :P )

Thanks LivingFlame for the idea! I tried it out but unfortunately I was still unsuccessful. I'm not very familiar with AviSynth... I gave it a try but I kept getting errors no matter what I did.

I'm so sorry guys for the delay in getting these clips, I really am trying desperately to convert them. I work as an editor and I'm majoring in editing and I have been asking everyone I possibly can about how to convert it to Lags and nobody has a clue. I even tried printing it to tape tonight, but as luck would have it, turns out my new laptop doesn't have FireWire (why...?) so I can't even get it off that way. Worst case scenario, I'm going to pop into the Edit labs at school next week to try and print to tape there and reimport on my PC. I'm really worried about quality loss though doing that.

I'm wondering, is there any other acceptable codec that I can convert this file into like H.264 or something else that whoever is assembling can easily work with? I can get all the other parameters set just fine, it's only the codec. Let me know if this is a possibility!

Otherwise, is someone out there good with Quicktime files in AviSynth? I'm more than happy to upload the uncompressed MOVs if anybody thinks they can get it to convert.

Thanks!!

Yes, I'm absolutely happy to help! My finals are through the 16th so I'm kind of swamped with my current AE final, but after that I have plenty time to help out with the credits. Let me know what you would like me to do. :)

PS: Pyro, one of my favorite AE resources is: http://www.wonderhowto.com/software/aft ... cts-video/
It's been saving my final when I get stuck. But if you need anything on AE, e-mail or message me!

::glomps Pyro:: Dude, you rock my fricken socks. It WORKED!!! I didn't even know I had that app lurking on my computer. Converted it as an MPEG and VDM finally took it. If you need anything at all, like a slave at AI, I owe you 5 trillion and a half. ;)

I'm uploading to MU now and hopefully should have the finals sent in by tomorrow (my internet is mega slow).

Your welcome, as for AI, I have applied the Iron Editor competition, so I might be competing with you this year if you do it again. Besides, thanks to the 13th amendment, I can't have any slaves, lol.

I think I see the light at the end of this year long tunnel guys, let's do this.
