Multi editor Trail Mix

Postby JaceCam » Wed Jan 23, 2008 5:32 pm

Okay i've got an idea and a challenge for those who like to get involved in multi editor AMV's
I'm working on getting a Country Mix going thinking of calling it the Trail Mix amv and i'm basically looking for people to offer there help. I've got Zig Zag offering help but i'm hoping to get more
as for the challenge well country music is hard to put to anime tho according to most people tho i can't see it. if you work on it anything can work out.
anyway i've got a few to start and i've got more ideas that i jsut don't have the music for. so drop me a line if you want to get involved In Country Trail Mix 1!... and possibly only

Being from the land of country music, I would love to be involved in a MEP using just that footage.

Get some technical info up and we'll talk.

Oh... okay...
well this is the first time i've done something like this. let alone taken the lead on it so i'll probably be needing some help
Frame size: not a clue
frame rate: even less of a clue
Video Codec: WMV because i find most people can view that easier (at least the ones i know)
Allowed Footage: no nudity, prefered not subtitles but if it can't be helped it can't be helped. other then that i don't care so if you put bible black in there (as long as theres no nudity)
Music.. country only please new country old country classic again i'm indifferent

beyond that i haven't a clue if people know and could help me it'd be muchly apreciated

rofl

I'd recommend looking through this forum and checking out the intro posts of several active MEPs to see how to best organize yours. If you don't know basic things like frame size and frame rate, no one's going to take you seriously and the whole thing will be a disaster. Hell, you might want to read this start to finish if you haven't yet since you don't seem to completely understand how video works in general.

Yeah, jumping into heading up an MEP like this isn't a good idea, period.

On another note...mmmm, trail mix.

hey come on give me a break I'm trying you don't yell at the new guy at Macdonald's cause they got something wrong or don't know something. how about some help like suggestions of what a good frame rate/ size or why people seem to hate wmv?
again I'm new to making amvs let alone MEP's I've only been making amvs for about 6 months but I think mine are decent and I'm doing this because people said its to hard to do country amv and i took it as a challenge and decided to show them it can be done I'll so this all on my own if i have to. tho i want to work with others so i can get constructive criticism from them instead of a plain "its good" opinion

Guide Lines

Postby JaceCam » Fri Jan 25, 2008 4:55 am

you wanted i searched here you go
Guide Lines
Music: The very basis of this whole MEP is country music. be it old and mud crusted like your 86 ford or brand spanking new like your cowboy hat i don't care. it just HAS TO BE COUNTRY MUSIC.
Anime: a couple of guidelines here please no subtitles and no hentai if you MUST! please censor bars are your friend and saviors. beyond that i really don't care
Codec: thats up for debate right now i don't have a preference really but i find i can't view mp4s unless on my psp and i only port the really good amvs over there so no MP4 for now if you want it to be that convert it like i do. in the end I think WMV would allow more people to see it but thats me please feel free to post your opinion here and once we have a majority vote on it (once i have all the people down who want (or think they can) do this).
Frame rate: 29.97
Frames Size: 720x480
Participants: Im really an indifferent guy and I again don't really care who participates if you have an idea for a country amv and don't have the anime suggest it and we'll see about getting it done and give you an honorary mention in the credits for the idea. now that being said i do want a good MEP so if you just throw scene with music and go AMV! please refrain from offering your help I'm a nice guy and i hate being mean.

to end this post I just have to say for now i am recruiting people to help with this please feel free to email me at Greatblademaste@hotmail.com tho i haven't been at making amvs that long your all welcome to check out my videos on my profile i think there good nothing amazing but hey who ever has an amazing first couple of amvs right?
