It actually is correct either way joey.

Because MEP is pronounced Em E Pee

E is a vowel. The sound that is made in abbreviations can make it an as well.. but It can work either way.

Mep = Multi Editor Project

or said completely as "mep"

I dont know who says "Em, Ee, Pee"=\

Proper grammar would be "A multi editor project" or "A Mep"

Only pointing this out because its been driving me crazy lately with people saying AN mep, it feels REALLY weird.

I don't think anybody says it like "Mep" I'm pretty much they sound it out with each letter.. that's what I do. In which case, "AN" is correct. but if you just says "Mep" then "A" would be correct.

I always wanted to make an amv to their songs and I already have one or 2 ideas about possible amvs.
However,I also believe that there are too many active MEPs at this moment and adding more won't help.Maybe you should wait a bit...

That is the Truth, but it wont help. I thought like this before but instead of what I believed more and more MEP's popped up, so it doesnt matter if you start this now or later. The onlly Reason why he shouldn't start this know is that he doesn't have enough knowledge and not enough respect to do this. Lots of people are annoyed by people who just come right from youtube and the first thing they do is starting a MEP. I mean wtf? They should earn a little respect first at least and make them "more known" on the forums.

ALso quality-wise they should learn more. They should have a bit experience with Compressing and all that "other shit" =/

This is true and I never disagreed with that.Especially the things about quality and compression are very important since I also lost a lot of time trying to learn them well.
However, about the respect I don't think it's so necessary for someone to be well-known to start a MEP.If he/she is really keen on making a good job and shows this to the other members by being dedicated to it,I have no objection of participating to such a MEP.

There are also co-organisers to help at these cases and if things get worse, someone else can take up the project(not the best solution though).

With proper help, this might prove to be a good MEP so I'm not gonna abandon the idea so easily.I love the band after all.Yet,I believe that the topic should start with the new year since right now almost all the active editors have other MEPs in their hands.

And sadly, new MEPs pop up every day making the situation more difficult...
WTF - Is 2007 the MEPs year???

Only pointing this out because its been driving me crazy lately with people saying AN mep, it feels REALLY weird.

i say it em ee pee
since its spelled MEP - i belive it should be said the same way therefore AN is correct for it for the reasons nurrd listed above

Edit

Mep stands for multi editor project, so it's not just a word, it stands for something. So it would be pronounced "Em Ee Pee" (best way I could phrase that)
