Screw you

On another note, glad this is coming along nicely, and wondering if I could do the credits improv style. :?:

I'm illiterate so I didn't read a damn word of the post but over the years I've become pretty good at recognizing my username in middle of all that incomprehensible text. So I'm just replying to say yeah, I know you're talking about me and shit.

Yessir, you can.

Ingow wrote:Uhm, I gotta bring this up one more time though to be sure: I have some DVD encodes that look better than the PAL DVDs I got standing here on my shelf. I know how much you love high quality but as a german I can't just walk into a store and buy anime DVDs with good quality, most of the local PAL stuff is...well you know. I would always try to stick to the RC1 collection I got for this project first of course, I'm just asking again because i feel that my situation is kinda different from america and we're looking for as much variety as possible.

I don't quite understand the problem...basically, as long as you can make the footage look good, that's all that matters. I just don't want shit quality, and if you think it's going to be a problem we can discuss it via PM.

Krat and NerdStrudel wrote:Dates and stuff.

Don't worry, it won't be a problem.

Bauzi wrote:What do you mean with it?

???

NerdStrudel wrote:I just noticed, crack. you are editing in this. you know who will be giving you your segment and who is getting it, that won't affect your choice at all?

This is true. I'm going to try and be as unbiased as possible, but I want to be in it and SOMEbody has to know the list. I don't think it'll be too much of a problem...

Bauzi wrote:Done with the audio editing. Can I send you the file that you tell me if it is alright for the MEP, Ben?

Just keep that file on your HDD, Bauzi. Don't send me the audio until after you've edited...which may be a while (I honestly don't know, I'm not looking at the list right now). Even though sending it to me now wouldn't really be a problem, I want to stay organized.

code_chrono wrote:On another note, glad this is coming along nicely, and wondering if I could do the credits improv style.

Quite possibly. If anyone else not already editing in this MEP wants to do them as well, they'll have priority, but if that doesn't happen you're golden. Of course, you won't be able to do them until the very end, but I appreciate that you want to do 'em.

Alright I´ll send you the file when it´s my turn.

Please AviSynth all your footage before handing it to me. If you cannot do this for whatever reason, I'll take care of it, but I'm going to have enough on my plate already so I'd prefer not having to do this.

I have no clue.

-I make my avs. Test and find out what cleaning I need
-I edit
-I add the cleaning stuff again
-I render the final file

Why should I add the AviSynth afterwards? It could mess up the effects etc.

The problem is called: Full Field Blended Sources and it´s a problem with PAL DVDs that often appear. Well I´m not an editor that bothers too much about it, but there are a lot of people that don´t like it in theire videos.
There is an example here:

A lot of people do post-processing, instead of filtering beforehand. I used to do that all the time. As long as you've applied AviSynth filters (if they're needed) at some point and your footage doesn't look bad, that's all I care about.

>_> I think you should change that.

That´s just messing things up like a radial blur oO or a lot of other effects and hell I think even simpel fades.

Filtering the finished encode seams to be really ridicolous for me if you don´t have a very very simpel video with only cuts in it =/

It takes minimal effort to make my footage look good.

I have 2 or 3 very similar sources from DVD that I can use.. I'm still to cheap to buy alot of it.. Hopefully Nobody takes said sources or I may or May be fucked.

I'm afraid of your audio wurpess. You said something about some indian somethin'... in the Interest gauge. that freaks me out, I'm still worried that my audio isn't... weird enough, I just really wanted to see it in a vid... I'm prolly goin' about it wrong.

Audio doesn't have to be weird. It's whatever you want.

Read it. Sent you a PM halfway based on misunderstanding that I just realized. (There's almost no way of avoiding misunderstanding when reading rules >.>) But my request of not editing until after August 17th still stands.
