The "Odd Pair" MEP [Closed]

I'm going to try my luck and start this up.

Here's the idea:

Pick an anime and make a :30-1:00 segment about the "Odd pair." By odd pair I mean two people that aren't actually a couple from the anime. Here's an example of dos and don'ts from Full Metal Panic:

Do: Sousuke and Mao
Don't: Sousuke and Kaname
Iffy: Sousuke and Tessa

Choice of couples need to be a boy/girl pair and must come from the same anime. Also they need to be generally humanoid (cat girls are ok, cats are not). I'll leave the loving of animals for another time and another MEP.

Here are the more technical aspects of things:

-Dimensions will be 720 x 480 with a framerate 29.97.
-DVD quality video only, and no watermarks/logos.
-Finals will by in HuffyUV or Lagarith with uncompressed audio.
-Betas can be in any format but DivX/XviD is preferred.
-Aspect ratio will be 4:3, so if the video doesn't fit the ratio, letterbox it.
-Content of segments must be orgable.

<strike>Betas will be due October 15th and finals will be due on December 15 with a release date hopefully around Christmas.</strike>

edit-After a vote, it has been agreed that this time of year is way too hectic for everyone to keep up with deadlines. And this is supposed to be fun! So all deadlines have been postponed until after the holidays.

Unless there is a major interest in this I want to limit this to 15 segments, but each editor can do up to 2 tracks. No repeats on anime, so it's first come, first serve.

Anime: Full Metal Panic
Couple: Kurtz and Mao

I can't argue that you are taking me at my weird for an odd pair. I was wondering what you were going to do with Angelic Layer and now I am truly intrigued.

So is everyone alright with betas being due in october? I'm not tied down to dates if there are any problems. Just let me know, preferably before the deadline

Shouldn't be a problem, since I don't have anything going on in October execpt school and a few after school activities in a lab.

I haven't had to deal with school in a long time, I just have to make sure I put some time aside to do my editting or I end up not sleeping one night to get done with things. And I'm getting too old for all-nighters

Ok, old man. But make sure you do. I would really prefer not to nag you for this one like I did for mecha. Especially since this is your MEP.

And just so everyone knows, any betas being handed in anywhere from the end of Sept to the deadline will go to me, since Immorrel will be away for a couple months.
