I had intended to wait and send this out to specific people individually, but with chaos at work, commitments to family and friends, and Karazan runs hogging up the vast majority of my free time I decided writing up a thread would be in my best interest.
What I have here is a MEP proposal focusing on various elements and styles of synch. The proposed album (below) is one I’ve had around for several years and it’s always intrigued me. I’d like to use most or all of it in a long MEP that seems to be rather ambitious. I’m not quite sure about segment length at the moment (there are 15 distinct tracks, but it is over an hour in length) and would be open to suggestions.

The largest bonding element I can see in it would be a comparison on techniques (ala ROS) focused on synch. I don't particualrly want to pigeonhole (as that would defeat the purpose) but suggestions for a secondary cohesive element wouldn't be frowned upon.
I would prefer very much to have skilled editors on this. If I don’t know who you are I’d like some samples of your best synch work.
This is still up in the air as of now, so final deadlines would be in the winter months. Technical details will appear here when I get to them as this is more a probing interest gauge. I look forward to seeing my bandwidth limit on my host pushed to the limit soon.
Also, I really couldn't come up with a suitable title, so the one there right now is simply filler.
**update**
I assume it's probably a better idea to put this on the first page than have it wollow on pg 3...
I’m pretty happy with this cut, but I’m up for any criticism you can offer. Some of it got a bit messy with mixing 2 elements back and forth so I came up with a novel idea – why not mix the video like the audio? You’ll notice I’ve indirectly proposed a team edit sequence where multiple small sections alternate back and forth between 2 tracks (the red/blue alterneting segments). Though it’ll mean a lot more work on my part in terms of mixing segments together, I think it’ll add a certain uniqueness to the project as a whole.
Let me know what you think, and as always, let me know if you’re interested. As for signups, I’m going to hold off for a while – I want to get a system in place that ensures the most qualified are brought on. What it lacks in “fairness” it’ll make up for in awesome.
