Pull the individual clips into Vdub using an avs script, and resize there. It's as easy as adding borders to the top and bottom in the script, then re-rendering. Shouldn't take but a couple of minutes to process if you are rendering to the same file format.

addborders(0,40,0,40)

Tweak as you will to get the best a/r.

Then, switch it in the timeline (rename the new file to the old file's name in the project folder) and voila!

EDIT: Make sure you have a backup of the original file in case something goes horribly wrong. I still have the backup discs and tracks (even betas) from MEPs I worked on looooong ago.

Thanks jubbie! ^_^

22:45-24:25 <-- I think that's is the last one where you might change something.

In here we're having Air (4x3) -- which should be a 16x9 video -- mixed with Wolf's Rain (4x3) which should be 4x3 hmm... well, it's up to you. you can resize one, and crop other one if you want, so both of them will be a 16x9 videos... or do not do anything, because it will be stupid to go a half minute with Air video in 16x9 and then switch to Wolf's Rain in 4x3 and then back to Air in 16x9. In other words you're the boss! it's up to you. :)

Again, thanks so much! I'm so used to editing in 4x3 ( I don't even own a widescreen anime -_-), that these things slipped by me.

And, yes, there will be a part two, with the cards not used in this one. You are more than welcome to join it. It will probably start up once all my other projects are done. ^_^

O_O...I'm sorry!
I never realized there was such big screen ratio differences.
I should have made them the same, it's my fault.
This is my first MEP so I'm still kind of new with all these technical requirements.
I'll be sure to make them the same ratio next time for the next Clow's Collection.
Thanks for pointing this out to me, I'll be sure to use better quality ratios next time!

No problem Blackrose, I've been here a while and didn't know anything about widescreen AR. ^_^

But I've been working on it, and I think I can fix most of them, with the exception of the Air/WR clips. ^_^

Ok, so I'm attempting to use Zarxgui to compress the final encode (the next beta is finished ^_^), but I've come across an issue. Any help would be appriciated if anybody can assist.

i think i saw them too... but that's not the case
BlackRose3367 wrote:O_O...I'm sorry! ...

that's perfectly fine. There are not a lot of the people who knows everything. Like me for example: i might know some technical stuff because i helped to edit some videos for my friends, but i'm bad in creating amvs 'cause I'm too lazy to finally get started (or finish some of my projects which i've been started but never finished). lol

2 CodeChrono I was thinking should i tell this or not, but take a look at 10:54-13:00. the same situation.... a lots of different anime in right and wrong aspect ratios  I would live them like this, or again you'll need to use c-r-o-p-i-n-g (which i felt will be really bad for 12:20-12:30 part, because there is so many masking work. and if you'll crop it from the top and the bottom some of it will be wasted....) combined with resizing to make the piece a 16x9 video. If you would prefer to do this though and still can't see which one should be resized or cropped, just ask me, but that's will take some time 'cause there so many pieces to resize, crop, resize, resize, crop, resize :x

I'm not exactly sure if I'm going to do all of that. Sorry, but once school comes back, I will have as much free time, so I'm trying to get everything shipped out ASAP. But all of the other AR's have been fixed, without a doubt.

2nd Beta is ready, as soon as I get the whole encoding thing under control. ^_^

*jumps in*

You know, Aspect Ratios should be fixed by the Person who edited the Track :?

I'd tell them to fix it up and if they don't, I'd drop the person from the track.

I agree, but it was due to my ignorance that they didn't edit correctly, and I should have made it more clear towards the beginning. In Clow's Collection Two, I will definitly have stricter video guidelines. But, for now, I'm just going to be happy to finally get this out, and I think the project is looking great. ^_^

2nd Beta is complete and it has finally cooperated with my encoding. I will be uploading it either tomorrow or the day after. Treat this beta as if it were the final version when you are betaing it.

BTW - Copycat, I did manage a last minute name change. ^_^

Due to the request of the editor, The Power segment has been dropped and the second beta has been slighly delayed.

Attention: Second Beta is going to be slighly delayed some more. I'm having a major issues switching from Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 to CS3. Several segments have gone to hell and back, so I'm going to switch back and hope it fixes it.

I'm very sorry for all the trouble I'm causes.
