Yea I know ( I UBER LOVED THE UTENA SEGMENTS!), but this would be different, as we would have non-yuri, yuri pairs. We wouldn't have pairs like in Yuri Collections.

EDIT: I didn't realize how stupid that statement sounded until I fully read it. X_X

Phew! What an awful week! :(
After a looot of family and school delays I could finally upload the beta version. I noticed several mistakes once it was finished and I want to make you know that I've corrected most of them for the final encoding. As you can see, I really want to get a better mep so I won't say you the mistakes I found to realise if they're REAL mistakes or just something only can be seen in my computer. Please give an opinion, if you think that one clip need some more work (talking about filtering) let me know; this is not to make anybody feel bad, it's for improve. And if you think I messed your clip in any way I would to know that too

Btw, I would like some help with the final compression. Is there somebody experienced with mp4?

So far, beta looks lovely :3 The credits look great, too. I love what you did with the pictures~ <3

The only thing I was wondering, for my track at the very beginning, would it be possible to fade it in? It kinda starts abruptly, so not sure if you've corrected that already or not, but just a slight fade in would ease into the project better :3

Aside from that, looks great ^^ The Wolfs Rain track made me wibble :<

First beta looked fine, but I have a few complaints too.

Number one: Video quality was gagging me. But I'm sure that I can fix that when I compress it to MP4.

Number Two: The transitions from each section needs work. I'm sure you noticed this.

Number Three: The top of the screen flickers every now and then. X_X Make sure when exporting/rendering footage you make sure and deinterlace the footage.

Other than that, everything looked neat. :D

When you get the final ready, just send it to me via pm. Try and compress it in a winrar or zip file.

Great job u_queen. :D

Haha, in my credits you spelled Far Away wrong XD
Also, since it's only the beta, could ya change my name on the credits to Savvy-Style ? (thanks :3)

Okay, I really don't have anything new to add that hasn't already been said ^^v (such as the video quality[though it's 320x240, so you can't expect anything great XD], the top flickering).
It also seemed that a few bits of video got...uh...jiggled? It's probably just from the compression, and will resolve itself when the final comes out >_>

On a non-CC note:
I really liked how you did the credits! 8D They were cool looking~
It was also nice to see everyone's segments (since not all of them publicly released their betas >_> )

I liked it :D

I don't have anything to add to what's been mentioned already. Unfortunately I did not get any sound when I downloaded the beta (was that just me?) so I've no comments on the audio. Noticed another typo if you haven't seen it, on Andike's second credits for the Naruto section, it's spelled 'acoustic'.

Looks really nice, I can hardly wait to see the whole thing, are you still planning on getting this shown at Yaoi-Con? That would be great!

Oh, and yes I am so going to start watching Death Note. :D

Most people have already mentioned the technical stuff that needs fixing, but I have one thing about the ending credits. Please capitalize everything properly. I'm a stickler for that kinda stuff, and it'll bug the heck out of me if I let it slide. The ones that need fixing are...

Michael W. Smith - "Place in This World" ('in' is not capitalized in most titles, although there are variations and other rules on this)
Three Days Grace - "I Hate Everything About You"
Nickelback - "How You Remind Me" (the title was incorrect, as well as the capitalization)
Yellowcard - "Only One (acoustic version)" (I don't know this rendition of the song, but the word 'version' may be omitted; ideally, of course, it should be word-for-word what the back of the album says.)
Deborah Harry - "I Want That Man"
Meat Loaf - "You Took the Words Right Outta My Mouth"
Nickelback - "Far Away" (misspelled the song title)

Like I said... it's just an obsession of mine, so I feel it needs mentioning. *tries getting her eye-twitch under control...*

Thankie thankie.

I'm glad my title is only one word.

Anyway. What everyone else said. And I noticed my segment had become slightly unsynced in parts. I rewatched what I had sent you to make sure I didn't just mess up the syncing on the vid, and it looks ok. So I'm not sure if its the way you put the pieces in the time line or if its the compression (which sometimes the compression will unsync my vids a bit.) Either way, it doesn't completely ruin the vid, but I just thought I'd point it out. *^_^*

first I'd like to say how much I love the oldschool look of the entire project, this is exactly how I imagined it and I really like it.

+ god the credits are totally amazing :3

Now as for feedback from my side:

- why did you only fix the aspect ratio for my part? The sources for Autraya, wurpess, kikai_saigono, kiarrens, BunofGovt and Andika are, as far as I know all 4:3 material. That means 640x480 and NO BLACK BARS
- you should really get the audio quality up for the final this sounds like it has been recompressed by premiere in a wrong bitrate or something like that. you could try using the original wav file in VirtualDub as audio input to avoid stuff like that.
- video quality, of course, needs to be 640x480 HQ XVid/MP4 for the final, but I'd also like to vote for something else: As far as I know none of us are real compression/encoding pros so if the final filesize is about 360mb to get everything in high quality then it should be that way. Because we have a lot of HQ sources and I'd be a shame to lose that just to get a smaller filesize, at least that's my opinion on the matter.

Oh and on another note I'll be away for the weekend so I'm not going to be able to discuss anything more for the next 3 days so please just ignore me and release the project anyway if it's going to be released in that time period or if some decisions need to be made just make them without me, thanks :3

some has been said already.... and I'm gonna be blunt
sound.. it's sounds like some one attacked it with sandpaper on the high notes... 320kbps instead of 192kbps will hopefully make a difference. (the sound was really shitty.)

I didn't mind most of the transitions from track to track.. at the end of my segment where gundam is fading in... flip my scene around if you can... (kazuma getting head is obscured by duo (can't remember)) also there's a jump in the scene.

AR your MEP requirements were 720X480 which means editing at 0.9 pixels in premiere(for those of us using it)... so it is 4:3 but not for viewing on a monitor i hate this resolution but that's for another time... my question is wry is the final 320X240 ?
if you are going to convert it make sure you do it properly from the 720X480 sources (looking at how the segments went wonky i think you are going to need to compensate individually in avs) to 640X480 at square pixels... it will look lots better (not more fat heads)

also there needs to be some post processing done, 90% of the tracks look like they have a out of focus blur - they need sharpening/denoising etc.... are you using a different .avs to import each huffy/lag? that way you can apply what ever post processing is needed to individual tracks.... or it could be the resolution when i maximise the screen on WMP >.< Let me know if you need help fixing the AR's or doing post processing.

The evangelion part... there are horrible white flashes at the top of the screen... you might be able to hide them if you letterbox that segment

ingow - this should all be de-interlaced already >.< anyone who didn't needs smacking

code- uhh did you say you were going to make an mp4 from a compressed version? o.o
new banzors in the making :p
