Add me to the list of people with a few incomplete versions in my folder. :\ Managed to get a full version of both videos up on there, the full one's labeled "2nd-try-upload" at the end of the file name. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I have a clip called "Narupepto" in the works. Perhaps you can guess the anime I'm using for this commercial? I also want to pay homage to the Osaka clips from AMV Hell 3 (the Apple Powerbook commercial). Would the Keepers of the Corn approve of something like that for Hell 4?

Dumb newbie question....is an AVI compressed with DIVX codec the same thing as a DIVX movie?

I ask because I am clueless when it comes to technical details, and DIVX seems to be the only format currently making a successful cross-platform hop from iMovie 3 to Windows....

If it's an avi, it will have .avi on the end of the filename.

I've tried to upload one video twice now, and I keep getting the same message:

Any suggestions? I don't have a firewall or the like up on my computer.

well..

Answer/Solution: The 425 error means that the data channel is blocked or closed between you and the server you are trying to connect to.

For Active connections open ports 20 and 21
For Passive connections open ports 21 and 1024+ (and higher)

Also, turn off command filtering on the firewall.

If you still cannot get a successful connection, check all devices that are between the client and server to ensure that the proper ports are open (e.g. routers).

Try to use a different mode (when using active, choose passive and vice versa). Although i wouldn't know exactly how to do that in command prompt, try a normal client?

( WS_FTP, CuteFTP, Filezilla ? )

Thanks! :p (Okay, yeah, it seems obvious, but...) The conversion problems seem to be worked out now, I think.

I've been wanting to do an AMV for some time, but the chance of maybe getting something in AMV Hell was what finally made me pick up my editing tools.
