Something like that would work, but it would be really hard to spice it up.

The way i envisaged it was an insummountably large map, maybe even with elements of topography in it, and the camera flying across it almost in a POV following a line to each destination.

A fairly ambitious idea, but nonetheless the way i pictured it :P

That's what I was seeing too.

Whoa...

I don't think i know how to do that in flash. ^^;
It looks like we have no choice but to find a man (or woman) with After Effects, Photoshop, some kinda 3d animation tool, a 200gb hard drive, guts of steel, a wooden foot, and a certificate declaring his insanity........

I know someone that probally has the skills to do it but it would be hard to get him...

funny enough purge, that had just crossed my mind

Using that we could pinpoint each editor's HOUSE.......

moonie211: yeah, flash could not do anything near that fancy. looks like our search continues.

For your ideal you will need someone with extensive After Effects and Photoshop knowledge
So you need to call this guy!
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... _id=266368

Send him a PM and tell him to get in here ASAP!
That would be an easy task right? ^_^
If you can't get him you can go for someone much more easy like this one

Oh yeah!
I better go get my video ready for this project

Ah yes i do know of pianos. (never heard of that koopskivy fellow though..... )

I was also thinking of asking a mate of mine Rohan. He's one of the best effects users i know, so i may see if he's interested in giving it a crack.

I'm a professional in flash... (5) and I dont see why that can't be done... it would be easy to do something like that... Just need the right scripting, and masking, and... images... ^^;'.
OOh boy but would it ever be fun to try to learn FLASH over again :?
(Tries moving his rusty arm.... *Clink*"It just fell off diddent it... I cant tell cause I'm afraid to move my head...")

Well, when I imagined it, I imagined one of those old-style maps, on the yellowed paper...

http://images.google.com/images?q=old+m ... art=0&sa=N

There's lots to choose from. (I think I've just been reading too much Irregular Webcomic though.)

No matter how it ends up being done, even something simple with a map would be much cooler than nothing. :)

I like all those ideas.

can't attempt it myself, don't have After Effects. Even if I did I wouldn't really know how to use it :/

if worst comes to worst we could just pick another transition

I think people like Koop are busy XD
