There are two romance sections. One will be in each.

Still shuffling names on paper though!

The Utena clip would be better in the 'Storybook' section, and the Doremi one in 'Sweet Love'. Just a thought.

I'd like to get one of those. I know I didnt contribute to the project like I wanted to but I was going to put this AMV (as well as last year's Valentine's Day project) to a DVD anyway (cause my computer is a piece of crap that could die out on me soon) so this would just save me the trouble. So pretty please can I get one of those DVDs?

I think I already PMed my address to you, but let me know if you need it again..

Well, the DVDs I will be building *crosses fingers for computer which is still dead* are my 'Thank You' to the editors that helped with the project. What I might be able to do, with the right bribe, is to burn just the basic project to disc for you without all the extras. ;)

YIKES! I just sent bluetrain a screaming warning before I realized this must be a joke. Unless it's a bribe for the rest of us ...

.....

Here's what's going on.

Computer is dead.

New motherboard. New power supply. No video. Can't even get into the BIOS.

It doesn't even get to the point of booting. Tried it without the memory. Tried it without the hdds. Tried it with another processor and video card. Nada. We have checked the video card in other computers, and it works fine. Everything else checks out, including the processor, but still nothing.

My hubby will be taking the RAM into his office tomorrow morning to see if that might be the problem, but if it's in working order... Well, basically I'm screwed and have no editing system. (Right now I am working on a computer that the previous owners of the house left in the attic, and the memory from one can't be used in the other because of *cough* age differences.

The computer was also used for my home business, so we will do something, but it might not be in time to have this thing released by Valentines.

Since a new computer for us means ordering all of the pieces and parts, I might have to ask someone else to take this over or just postpone it until I can get a new system.

I'm hoping it's the RAM and we can get the thing running again. If anyone out there has any other ideas as to what the problem might be, please let me know.

I'm off to console the poor resident Systems Admin (he's that 24/7 these days).

I will post tomorrow and let you know the status. If anyone has read all of this... ;)

http://www.fonerbooks.com/pcrepair.htm These flowcharts are pretty good - have you gone through them yet? They might help diagnose your problem...

I'm sorry it's being nutso on you and not just fixing itself easily. :( Adding to the cat tally of this thread, I imagine your situation something like this:

It's hard right now, but it will be over eventually. :(

if you didnt order the same type of motherboard to replace the borked one then you may run into compatability issues (The main scare of buying and building your own comp). Should check the booklet that came with it and see if something that your using isnt supported.

Otherwise I dont really understand why it wouldnt be working... Doesn't the motherboard have its own video port? If that don't work then somethings seriously wrong with that board >_>... If that works then something is wrong with the other parts. Use the process of elimination like you been doing :P.

Just make sure you didnt forget to plug something up to the AC... Done that a few times <_<_> ....

*Edit*
In other news this gives me more time to complete my track anyways! CHEERZ! Seriously i need atleast like 3-4 more days... sorry ;_;
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
