I mean the video. It seems like you are working with a very low quality source or exporting it at low quality.
Try to export it at 640x480 in high quality

The pictures actually look great, but the video footage you used is all pixellated and fuzzy. You need to use a cleaner source for your project. If you are using the fansubs of SM Stars, that's probably what's killing the quality. The size on those is tiny, so when you export them at a larger size, they look all blocky.

Are you using dvds or fansubs?
And what frame size is your source footage?
is it 320x240, 640x480 or 720x480

Why in the h...

...I mean where did you find a 160x120 and a 320x184 video?! >_<

Thats what the problem is...
If you resize video that small it will look all blocky and pixilated like Jubjub said.
You should only work with 640x480 or higher footage and its best if you use footage without subs.
If you have 640x480 footage with subs you can crop that and it still will look pretty good.

Just a quick comparison...

http://rapidshare.de/files/35913203/SE_WMM.wmv.html

The first bit is from another MEP piece I did, so I didn't import actual DVD footage, but my compressed 640x480 XVID (I didn't feel like ripping a DVD for this...), so there IS some macroblocking in it. Compressing compressed files is not good... >.<

The second clip is from the 640x480 fansubs

The third clip is the enlarged 160x120 footage

and finally, the export option you should choose for the best quality output from wmm. If you use the avi option (best), keep in mind the file will be larger than you are used to, but you can also take that and crop subs, clean and crop borders in vdub after you output it.

Note also that when you export using either of the methods listed, it will come out as 720x480. I'm sure Moonie is going to resize the finished project to 640x480.

Hope this helps!

;)

Be sure to read jubjub's post above Sailor Earth.

Now since the thread has went far away from my post about the major updates, Here it is again

........................................................................................

Multiple Major Updates!

Scratch what i said before!
For the remaining project im going to do something crazy and let poeple do a mix if they want.
You can only mix up to 3 songs and the songs must have a nice flow together though.

Im also going to do something kinda similar to the AMV - Signs of Hope and Light MEP
If anyone has previously made an amv with a sailor moon song, they can submit that to the project too.
Members can submit as many of those as they want, but if i get too many i might have to leave some out of the project.
Those videos must meet the project requirements.

Videos should be of high quality as possible and should not have subs or logos.
Filetype should be .avi
The resolution should be 640 x 480 29.97fps and should not have any Interlacing. They should be progressive and should be compressed in Xvid or Divx at high quality.

Also

Each video in the project has an intro before it that shows a sailor moon wallpaper,
scenes from sailor moon on the left side, the Moonlight Melody logo scrolling at the top and the members name scrolling acoss the bottom.
Each intro also has a different wallpaper and song that helps each video flow into each other.
They are made using Xara Webstyle, SwishMax and Adobe Premier
Here is a screenshot from one of the intros
Image

Right now i have alot of wallpapers picked out for the videos but if there is a certain on you want in your intro you can send it to me.
The intros are made with a template I made in Swishmax and can be adjusted easily.

The requirements for wallpapers are

1: Must be a Sailor Moon wallpaper (This is a sailor moon tribute after all ^_^)
2: Must be high quality
3: Must be 800x600 or larger
4: Must not have alot of text on it
5: Must not be a 800x600 screenshot >_<
6: Must not have any offensive content

Here are some good sources for sailor moon wallpapers

Sailor Earth...

Are you still using
160x120 and 320x184 for some of your source video footage?...
No matter how you export it if you are using 160x120 and 320x184 footage it wont look good >_<.
Try to use 640x480 and 720x480 footage

Since you don't have a lot of high quality footage of sailor moon, how about using another anime?

Im sure you probally have some anime dvds or another source that is high quality you can use.
Your pictures were good quality, its just your video source wasn't good.
Isn't there another anime you could use that is higher quality?
This is a sailor moon music tribute but you can use other anime besides sailor moon ^_~
There are also other songs if you want something else to work with
http://amv4000.org/Sailor_Moon_Project/

Just work with a source that is 640x480 or higher and you shouldn't have any problems.
If you need a dvd ripper you should try
Dvd decrypter. Its free and works very good.
