The beta should be half that size.

I've followed the guides and I still don't get the result they say I should. What would you suggest? Anyway, the touring copy is going on DVD.

So do you know how I can squeeze this to under 100mb without using the mp4 codecs? They tend to reduce the visual quality by a lot...

Compress your audio, for one thing...

Ran it through VDubMod:
Video - DivX 2.1 (2 Logical CPUs)
Audio - Lamemp3 (128kbps)
Single pass

I managed 205mb. This is better, but can I possibly get it under 100?..or will I have to upload an external link to the org?

You could ask for a larger file size upload couldn't you?

Not only am I going to have to ask for that, but I need permission to replace AMV Hell 3.14 with AMV Salad. One of these requests is hard enough to even get an answer for, much less both. After the last go-round, I wouldn't hold out much hope for the oversize upload permission. :(

IMO you shouldn't be replacing 3.14 with anything, because AMV Salad needs to have its own entry. The only time you can delete and re-upload an existing video is for stuff like re-encoding or changing the video attributes.

See http://www.animemusicvideos.org/help/#database : "I want to upload a better version of my video file, what do I do?"

AMV Salad looks like a remake not a remaster.

When I made my videos into WMVs from windows movie maker, I used a program called All to AVI and I think the program actually made the filesize smaller after conversion. The movie was great and now I know what you had meant by production tag. I don't think you'll be able to squeeze it under 100 MB unless it would run on Real Media player.

Amv salad is the new name afetr zarx wanted him to change it and ADD hell apparently offended some up-tight pricks or something.. so yah.

Plus.. It's pretty much 3.14 with new segments just tossed in, from what I can tell.

I participated >_>.. also, I still don't know why deuce wanted the video interlaced...kinda peculiar, but whatever.

Is the second Salad going to be more adult-oriented like AMV Hell 0 or to some extent?

Were you the person that made the DF clip? If so, was there an instrumental version of it?
