I am doing a collection of rock/comedy songs. try to keep it in the collections of :gravitation, Naruto, Chobits, Reboot, Ruruoni Kenshin/Smaurai X, Samurai Shamploo, and the Megaman TV Show. If you want to do a different show, contact me through aim (Syandrious) and ill tell you yes or no (based on the show/song comparison)

I'd strongly recommend making a outline of what your going to do that's organized, easy to read, and obvious goals/timelines. Basically look at a successful project and try to structure it like that, it'll probably get a lot more attention then asking people to just randomly edit within weak guidelines that pleases you.

Honestly, this just sounds like putting a bunch of very different videos together without any real foundation or theme.

they are asking what the overal theme or conept of the project is... all the information you've given makes it sound like just a collection of music videos to anime and music you like.

take a look at some of the other more successfull MEP threads for examples of what guidelines should look like. For instance:

something simple like Project Trinity... theme is chrsitian bands. Although it may seem like its a simple theme... christian bands... its purpose is to highlight bands that are chrisitian in nature, thus a unifying theme.

something like Summer Project - videos must have a summer based theme, visuals having to do with summer. This is a special project being done for summer this year. Unifying theme being that.

Thats what they mean by being specific with a theme. Just a bunch of rock comedy videos with no real theme tieing them together doesn't unify it as a true collaboration effort. thats just 2 examples, look at their threads first post for good examples of the kind of information you should provide before asking for people to signup.

It's perfectly simple to understand, but what people don't get is WHY? There are plenty of standalone rock videos that do well by themselves. You're not doing much of a service by basing a generic MEP off them.

Hmm... Let me make a proposition here. The theme is rock songs to animes with cute girls and/or women. Songs that talk about women and/or relationsships between women and men. Song like: she saw me coming (Rolling Stones), Living wreck (Deep Purple) [It would be difficult to pick something different than hentaio here, but it ought to be possible.]. So it could be a rock-project about women/wifes/grouppies or whatever, this ought to be the way a mep concept looks like. I hope you understand what is meant now.

Why don't you start answering some questions instead of jumping down people's throats (who have done projects like this before):

1. How long should each clip be?

2. What style of rock? Progressive? Punk? Emo ? Scremo? What?

3. What type genres? action? shoujo? etc?

4. Is there restriction on what can and can not be submitted? Like no excessive violence or nudity?

5. What's the deadline for the videos?

6. What encoding do you want the videos in? MPEG? AVI? WMV (HA)? QT?

The list can go on and on dude. Sorry, but this project looks like a flop just from your attitude already : x
