silver_moon wrote:Thanks for your beta, Qyot27. Do you think you're going to be putting some more hours into this before the beta deadline, or is this the version you want us to judge on June 1?

Yeah, I'll definitely be working on it more. I'm considering focusing a bit more on the relationships rather than just the existential angst that dominates it at the moment (that may be what I do for the instrumental section). And changing the scene that occurs for 'looking for a reason' - it may be a good visual lead-in for the scenes after it, but it has nothing to do with the lyrics.

EDIT: If I'm absolutely not able to get another beta out by then I'd be fine if this was the one judged, but I'd think of that as a last resort.

Wish I had noticed this earlies, would've liked to get in on it. I might be able to whip something out, but I'd rather not do something sub-par. Not to mention committing to something I'm not sure I could finish in the time left. Good luck to everyone though, can't wait to see it! :D

Thanks. :) Let us know if you change your mind about getting something done before the deadline.

Well, I worked on it some more, and here's the new beta (again, whether this will be the final beta before Jun 1, I don't know). Unexpectedly, much of the structure of the first beta remains unchanged, with only a couple of adjustments/replaced scenes. It fills out the entire instrumental section, bringing the time total to 1:26. The only initial thing that I caught that needs attention is to try to further mask Megu in the TV scene to obstruct the couple of 'orphan' frames where her mouth moves. Aside from that, it's just a question of whether the material at the beginning and end of the segment would work okay as buffers or whether I'd need to add a bit more to compensate for that.

EDIT: Link removed; new beta coming.

*wimpers* Ugh, now I really want to, but I'm torn! O.K., how about this: If that offer still stands (wether or not my submission makes the final cut will remain irrelevant), then let me know and I'll challenge myself to put a track together in time for the deadline. Waiting for a reply will give me some time to think of an idea anyway.

If you're not accepting any more submissions (since I just noticed it on your main post), then you can spare me some torture from my own <s>stubbornness</s> determination. Then I can just sit back, relax, and wait for the final product.

What I really need is a push in one direction or the other. And, since you and Silver_Moon are in charge of this project, I'll let you two do the pushing.

Hey. My original sources weren't working as good as I would have liked so I changed them. I'm currently editting with:

Mute Math - Noticed

Anime - Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien

Hope this one will go more smoothly, coz I've been seeing some great BETAs for this project =]

The choice is up to you, but we'd like you on the project of course. And don't be too concerned about the beta deadline, as we'll probably be extending it. As long as you can get the final version done in time for July 1st, it's fine. (We aren't really accepting sign-ups anymore, but since you showed interest in the project before we posted that, we'll let you in for sure.) See if you can come up with a good idea first, though.

Sorry, Rozard is already using Mute Math. Do you have any other artists in mind?

We most certainly have been getting some great betas so far. Keep 'em coming, everyone! :)

Note to all editors: there are only 2 short weeks left until the beta deadline. If you don't think you'll have a beta ready for us by June 1st, please contact us and let us know if you need an extension.

Well then I'll do it, cuase I want to. I know I can have a final version by the deadline, even if my beta is a little late. And here's my idea, hope this will work since I didn't see anyone else using these.

Artist: PFR - Song: Walk Away From Love - Anime: Cowboy Bebop series - for about 30 to 45 seconds.

The album is a little old (1997), and i'm not even sure they're still together anymore. But my CD collection is kinda limited on Christian Rock artists, especially since I'm jumping into this so late in the game and a lot has been spoken for. So if that works, I'll get started on it right away. If not, let me know ASAP so I can change gears.

Thanks so much for letting me join so late in the game, I'll do my best!

I'm still working on mines just to say. I'll probably end up sending it right on the deadline cause I am a master procrastinator. :)
