eeeeww... Tiny Toons.

As long as half this project isn't Azumanga Daioh, I'm cool with just about everything.

I mean, AMV Hells probably would've been better off being called "Azumanga Daioh Paraody #..."

Appendium to a rule: No one has done this yet but I'd like to stick with shows that came before 2000 otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose of calling it the "Old School" TV project.

I'm also kind of surprised no one has picked Tiny Toons as well. Though the tracks I've got planned were Inspector Gadget and Thundercats.

Those will probably be just as good. Though I'd hold on that till I Get the list and actual track selection going. The other matter is at the moment I'm looking at a way to tie the project together.

I.e. DDR was tied by a mutual DDR theme. NES was tied with video game commercials. AMV Hell was tied by the TV changing channels. So I'm looking for something to tie all these videos together rather than just string them all as one.

Since these are TV themesongs, it makes sense to change the channel, BUUUT...

If you take footage of yourself putting in a "Old school TV DVD" into the DVD player, you could just change chapters throughout the whole project. =p

If you want to get really technical, you could make a whole DVD Menu and go through the chapters and title sequences for each track. =p

Another idea that might work is including transitions from the original carttons used (e.g., the shooting star transition from Superfriends). Then again, some of the shows selected may not have specific transitions of their own...

Old, home-recorded videotapes! Stick the "Home mix" in the VCR, and fastforward through the commercials to get to each track. XD

Would this project include the old Gerry Anderson Super-Marionations ?

Titles like Supercar, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Fireball XL5, and Terrahawks ?

I think Daria is a little too recent I think to fit in with the project theme.

As for Thunderbirds and the like are acceptable. Despite it being named "The Old School Cartoon Project" I'm more or less focusing on children's & young adult shows from previous generations. The reason for this focus is that if the project is a success it can be followed by an Old School TV Project which would encompass live actions shows (probably because I want an excuse to put a Macguyver video in).

If we ever do do a live-action folow-up, I call Knight Rider(or Night Rider? I can never remember how it goes, just that the talking car is the most awesome thing ever)! 8-)

Also, if anyone needs the theme for the super Mario Bros. or the old Zelda show, I have them on DVD. ZOOM!

If I could find the theme song for Rounin warriors, I might conssider it. Depends on the deadline. thats like the first anime I ever saw ;p (Though at the time I didn't know what anime was exactly) Or maybe I could do robotech, I do have the perfect collection CD for that... somewhere around here....

Let me get this streight though, we are using the theme song from an old TV cartoon aired here in the US and using any anime footage we like (even if its something new) to edit to it?
