Also, it looks like that you used my previous beta for the transition between our tracks: the final one has the interlacing on Lumiere fixed, and I added an extra effect in the entering motion :P

The project looks totally awesome! :D
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

O_o I thought I changed that.....
I will need to check my join project file again.

Also I realized I will have to filter each segment seperately and reexport, since each segment requires different levels of filtering to clean up and increase compressability without damaging the track too much. This will ofcourse increase export times (since I have to reexport each part of the final again with filtering applied) and then join it all back together in the xvid. I think I have figured out reasonable settings for everyones tracks now, I am in the process of exporting to check it all out joined together now.

Release probably won't happen today though, since I have to go to work now (while its exporting) and I'd like to get an optimal and cleanest file possible for online release, so I'm willing to sacrifice a few more days to do it if needed.

alright guys, final versions... or maybe I should say semi-final versions are up, these are the files I want to release with fitlereing and all. Ofcourse thats if you alla re happy with the filtering and such. Theres 2 versions, the lower res 512x388 one and the higher res 640x480 one. There will also be an mp4 of the 640x480 one that I am working on now.

My question is which do you guys prefer to be the localy hosted one? the LQ avi, HQ avi or the mp4? all 3 will also be hosted via direct link on the projectayumix.com website regardless to wich is chosen for local.

I'd prefer to see the mp4 version on local so people will get used to it ;). And it won't take as much space as the xvid will.

I'd say at least the HQ avi. I'm still not sure of the mp4 since I'm not up to par on lingo yet. It would be good to have something of great quality but acessible to a lot of people.

downloading now =) I'd recomend HQ Xvid for local and Mp4 for direct/indirect seeing as most people are compadeble with Xvid and have yet to learn what Mp4 is we could also puch Mp4 forward with releasing the first only Mp4 mep but that is just a suggestion ^^

Do it 512x384 for the final release. 388 is no multiple of 16 and will make it harder to compress the file for the codec.

I also request to take out the filters on my track. I absolutely don't like how it looks now, a good amount of detail got washed out and the whole thing looks flat, especially in the beginning section. I think I filtered the input source well enough, all other material is self animated so it shouldn't need any :P

I would say go for Xvid on local and mp4 on direct. Even if I only got one single complaint for my own video as x264/mp4 on local, this project has propably a much larger audience :)

Other than that you are ready to go :)

Ok i think I made a mistake there ;p I had tried the vaguedenoiser filter on your track since deen wasn;t handling the gradients well, and decided to take it back out because of the reasons you just stated. only somehow I found it was still there ;p I probably saved to the wrong place or something. Anyway I'll recode it without it. Visually your track is filtered well enough, I was only trying it to increase compressabilty.

BTW the mp4 looks amazing, at only 153 MB it looks better than the 230 MB HQ xvid.... Just wished it didn;t take a freakin 4 hours to do a 3pass encode on this project, and I have to do it again now ;p

encoding.... bleh.... i hate my computer... 3 times i've encoded a final file to find a single garbled frame in here making me have to recode the entire thing :/

well after much headaches I finally have a clean lagarith of the entire project joined together with no messsed up frames. I am in the process of encoding the Xvid and mp4 versions now. the high quality file is ready and the smaller res one is encoding as I type this, while i'll probably leave the mp4 to encode while i'm at work tomorow.... took the last one roughly 7 hours to encode on 3 pass with the HQ- Insane profile ;p

I should have everything ready for a release on thursday or friday.
