My beta

Like all YSI, good for a week or 25 downloads.

There are some weird parts where I tried to integrate "the past" into the video. I'm considering taking them out.

The synch feels off at the end, and I'm not sure what's causing that. It's fine in the uncompressed version, but when I compressed it to XviD (first pass), those flashes in the latter half just don't feel right.

Am I being paranoid?

here, my huffy

http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2S78FKAMM7PLH0F2KT288VFE93

no clue if it uploaded or not, but i'm pretty sure it did as yousendit sent me the conformation...
i dunno if the resolution is right, though.. i typed in all the things you wanted, 720, 480, whatever... but it doesn't look like i thought it would, but that's what huffy gave me, *shrugs* so i hope it's ok as i've just spent about 6 hours uploading it for some strange reason (my comp/internet must hate me!!) so i hope it's fine :D

Ok, mine's pretty much done, except for two things:

1. Are we allowing spoilers? It's got some big ones that I might be able to replace, but I think it works better with them.

2. The way they draw rain in Noir is a pain to work with (basically, they don't). Can anybody recomend a way to add a rainfall effect to a video segment? I need it for the 'for soothing rain' line.

Here's the beta (still need to run de-interlacing etc):

Ok, page one updated.. As for the beta, the storytelling looks good but
I think those huge transitons are a little clunky.. Also, for one with out a
name there are alot of different shots that could be used. Example merialle
looking at the computer in episode one or when karka looks at her ID at
the school and sinks backwords in the dream squence. Other then that
I think the beta looks ok.

Ok, I trimmed down the transitions a bit, and found that clip of Mirelle's computer. Had to splice two clips togather, not entirely happy with the way it came out yet. Didn't want to use the id card since I used it earlier.

Any advice on the other questions?

Nah, I'm only giving advice do what makes it your video..
The whole idea with this project is people being creative and doing
what they want 10 or 15 videos that all look the same gets boring.

So, do you have any feedback on my segment other than "a lot of black"?

I don't even know what the hell you mean by that.

Ok, I've used some people's advice, and changed things around a bit. Lucas, you mentioned that it looked like lip-syncing on 'oh how I wish" and I'll be masking that when I get a chance. I might try and re-work the last clip too, not sure how much I can do with it though.

I was trying to show her 'civilian life' in the first verse, and her 'assassin life' in the second, but didn't really hold true to that I suppose.

I'd still like some advice on how to deal with the rain problem.
