PROJECT REM SLEEP

This forum is for the announcement, organisation and discussion of Multi-Editor AMV Projects.

I liked it, like you said "it's rough" but I understand
where it's going... Only advice I can give you is to pay attention
to those background noises. Sometimes they can give a
video the extra boost it needs. Also fading to black will work.
On to other issues, I said that advice about transitions mostly for
the editors who have quick transitions with one anthor.
When it comes right down to it, I'm chosing the main transitions
bettween the pieces. But, I'd rather have people be happy with
which ones I choose. Not trying to add pressure , actully trying to
make things easier for peoples transitional tastes. Basically general
brain storming to make the project that much better.

SideNote:
Hay crazy done the clean audio verison?
PM me when its in ok... :)

Sarah:
Nice idea, i'd say the only thing that needs fixing are the cuts @ 0:14 and 0:17.
CK:
I once made half an amv to "It's the end..." using Abenobashi. I found many lyric synch posibilities there.
OtakuForLife:
Could you change lucaspl81 in the posts to my .org name?
And since this is my first post in this topic, good luck to everyone involved, i'm really looking forward to the project.

Thanks. I do want to add more in. Not flashes on every single beat or something, because I find that annoying, but in many places, yeah. Though I have to warn you it's not going to look like a usual MEP track; I'm just not that type.

But that's good for now, thanks.

RAR. No, I don't want to screw up your project. Come on, have some pride in your work here. If you really think it isn't right and that I don't have enough flashy stuff on every beat like MEPs are supposed to, please, please tell me. No sugarcoating. PM if you have to.

I will GLADLY hand over the track to someone who can AfterEffects it up and do a proper MEP track. So please, don't sugarcoat it by saying "I'm letting you be creative." If you think the others could do a better job, and I'm sure they can, please let them have it. I hate euphemisms like "do whatever you want." That's not how good projects are made. Everyone hates that one lame track in an MEP that makes people wonder how the hell they got in. I don't want this project to have one of those, especially the anchor track. It deserves better than that.

So please, tell me what you -actually- -think.- Without sugarcoating. PM if you want.

Thanks.

I liked it , I thought it was very stright forward...
Did you see my beta on the first page.. I apperate
work such as this ok.. I like my project ,but, it's about
the working together part that made me want to be a cordinator..
Ok, have faith in yourself. Also, if I say anything it's not intended to sugercoate anything, it's actually the truth. I said this is more about the editors then the project meshing together "correctly". If I wanted sameness
I would have picked a six minute tecno track. I got tied of those boring
alike videos. So, I decide to do this... opps I'll get down from my box again :)

BTW everybody the new cleaned up mix is out.
Thanks again to are audio helper Crazy for the mixes )

Heh, my track is 'What's the frequency, Kenneth?'. Unless I just misinterpreted what you were saying. Anyway, I just wrote the lyrics down, then wrote what I thought each line meant, then wrote another line with its meaning toward FLCL. I think I'm doing alright now.

Sarah: I really, really, reeeeaaally like what you've done so far. Can't wait to see yours and everyone elses work.

I watched the two available betas and both were really good. Exactly the kind of videos I like. Inspiring.

Janski's Beta for losing my religon is up , though he says it's unfinished
I think it looks awsome :) ... Check page one for download..

Couple of comments about janski's submission:
1)One awsome beat timing and the fades where prefect.
2) I luaghed so hard when you used that shot for the opening
of shinney happy people, I almost choked on my breakfest
creal.
3) Overall Good job , just wanted to say a few things :)

Just a friendly reminder. :P

Thanks for the comments, negative critique is welcome too. I'll try to finish the fine-tuning soon.

hmm, yeah .. if I saw something wrong with it .. I would...
I look for large errors... Video glitchs, off-snyc, bad transperencies and
horriable lip sync. If it's a nit-picky reading you want AIM LMT he's good at that. My bad about the gender error earlier :)
