I'm alive and back online too. I have been for the past week, I just haven't had much to say. I need to finish fixing my car before I can get back to work on the project, but I'm almost done so that shouldn't take too long.

As for the source issue with my part, I figure I'll use the fansubs for scene selection and to put betas together. Then, once I've got my hands on the DVDs I'll do a switch out.

I pulled Bakadeshi's beta and I like the way it's unfolding. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished as well as the beta for all the other new parts when they start rolling out.

More from me when I've got some more time. But right now it's back to work on my car, then, at the end of the month, it's on to jury duty. Which actually should be pretty fun, especially if we get hammer thingys.

I'm back also, though I havn't yet done anything new with my track.
as for transitions, should I be getting with krtz and Oto on how to transition into their segments, or does Pen-pen plan to handle all those on his own?

Haha, funny, I was just talking to Jasper a few minutes ago and mentioned how I want to try as much as possible to get a good, logical transition to your segment.

Don't worry about it much - I'll try to take care of it as much as possible. As I understand, the later part of my now-huge 1st track will be mostly landscape-ish rather than story-driven, so I think I can accommodate a good transition towards the end, visually-speaking.

For my 2nd track, I've also pretty much made it a mission to set up a logical interlude/transition between Song's and Coffee's tracks. I think that'll be my focus there - how I do it is another question.

I'm no closer to having a concrete idea at the moment, but with sufficient stabbing from Jasper and whoever else might wish to stab - I think I'll get prodded into action very shortly on this. I'll make a few 'dry runs' on putting together something for the tracks tomorrow - just throw in some footage over the music to see what works.

Hey all, sorry I havn't been in touch more but progress is in fact being made. I've been working on some cool transitional techniqes and laying out the end sequence.

I've also been doing a lot of fooling around in AE, learning some new tricks in preperation for trying to construct a profesional looking end credits.

Bakadeshi: On first viewing your beta seemed a little disconnected from the music (to the extent that someone watching over my sholder did not realize that it was a music video) but I like it more and more as I continue to watch it. I like the visuals and I love the strong narritive thread, see if you can interweave it with the audio a bit more.

Jasper: can you resend your Kaledio Star Huffy? I have a copy on my home computer in Ann Arbor but it will be easier to get it from you than to to get one of my siblings there to send it to me.

Everyone who is currently working on a segment, keep up the good work and don't let it slide (too far) onto the back burner.

I'm going to get GAIM instaled on my new computer so it will be easier to get ahold of me (noonguy007 on AIM).

Aha, he lives!

Nothing's going on the back burner - I'm going active with AMVs as soon as my exams are done this week, and this is still high on the priority list.

...not to say I'm any closer to getting ideas (yet)

I also will be pulling my section from the back burner. I have tomorrow earmarked as the day to get back to work... Of course I did have last Monday earmarked as the day to get back to work as well. In my own defense I claim extenuating circumstances: I'm lazy.

Are we anywhere close to release? I don't like sitting on a completed vid for over a year. :(

It's alive, sort of, Fearless Leader does seem to be missing again. But, I was actually working on my part just yesterday, hopefully more today. I'm reworking it completely, new series and everthing. Well over half done so a beta should be coming soon from me.

I'm sorry everyone. I'm releasing my segment. PenPen hasn't posted in over a month. I think this project is dead. Of course, if it ever comes back to life, then PenPen can put my segment in. Good luck everyone.

Why does no one just take over the role of the coordinator if he's not around ? Releasing segments will damage the credebility of the project (altough I'm not in it) so I wouldn't do that.

I think most members of this project are comfourtable with an it being released but not any time soon attitude. I really don't care anymore as I haven't edited anything in a while.

Yeah. But if the project leader is MIA for over a month I think you can pretty much call the project dead.

Alright. I'll tell ya what. I'll postpone releasing my segment for another 2 weeks. If PenPen shows up before that point I'll wait for the project (If it's still happening) to be completed.
