Well song, I can't tell you about the sync since I only saw it without sound (though trust me, I know the music very well anyway) -

But I can tell you that I'm definitely liking it visually and thematically. I can definitely make sense of what's going on story-wise - I'd only wish for some sort of resolution to it at the end. Otherwise, looks good.

To some extent, I almost want to say 'more effects', but by the looks of it - maybe that's really not needed after all :)

I also liked the story flow, I can't wait to see the rest. I loved the editting and most of the effects. The effects I didn't really care for were the flashy eye thing at 0:34 and the flashy boxes at 0:37. The boxes were to repetitive, just the same two positions flashing over and over again. They need some more variety.

Oh and Pen-pen, did you get my part?

I was just about to resurect this thread, but it looks like someone beat me to it.

Huge kudos to song, for making progress in the face of radio silence. Large sections are starting to come together, and I will soon be stiching them together to check for flow and begin working on transitions. BMA will be returning from military life in a week and hopefully we'll see some progress from him.

As someone has probably noticed that leaves only one large unaccounted-for section, mine. Unfourtionatly I am not sure wether I will be able to complete the section with my current concept so I may be returning to the drawing board (risking what I was worried about all along, holding up the project.) If anyone has any intrest in this segment, tell me now.

As for this project's relation to Animasia, it has to do with a number of factors. Primarily I blame overwheming excitment and what seemed to be a finished project a little while back. After that there were narritives to record and videos to recompress. But really there is no direct connection since I am finnished with My Animasia contribution and Jasper has finished her segment (this is a lie. I am secretly planning to ask Jasper to contribute some more of her excelent editing to the project, but am waiting till she finishes Animasia. *evil laugh*.)

I can't belive it's been almost a year, kind of scary. But no worries, there's no animation school in my future (though I am taking a class in AE which has dramatically affected my editing) so no worries. I have starded on a solo project which has been sucking up a lot of my time (and which I should have a beta for you guys for in the next couple of days.) But as soon as the various segments are done, getting this project out in a timly manner will be a big priority for me.

That's all for now, but I'll be checking this thread frequently if you have any concerns, comments.

Since Toji droped out Song has had the full bridge, so that isn't a full length beta.

Live thread! Live!

I hope to get started on some project work very shortly. Just not tonight, cause tomorrow is my only night to sleep in so I'm going out for a night on the town. But soon, soon.

What's been sucking up my free time lately:

Well-done, song, I do like it, and I think those little circle-effects look good in the middle and keep the flow (although it's odd how they disappear in a couple of clips and then come back, I guess there's still synch going on).

It did seem like it ended a bit abruptly, but there's still a logical sequence. Visually, it's about where it should be, love the action.

I think I was a bit iffy about some of the scene choices, but it'll take me a while to figure out which exactly.

Well done, thanks for keeping the project alive! :)

Now, how about updates from... well I guess it's only pen-pen, and wherever BMA is if he still happens to be interested.

I happen to be interested, so I'll ask that question right now:
is there another track that needs to be done, where you think I might be of help? I could, gradually and slowly as ever, start putting it together. I now know I can hold a committment to the project - as I did over the last year.

song: As I've said, I really like how you kept up the energy in the final part of the song there. Surging waters ooOooo. :D

The circles are nice. They're much less harsh than the rectangles you had going on before.

The only things that seem to stick out are the transition at 0:44 (because you only used it once) and the two clips of Sasuke's face at 1:09. It seems a bit awkward because you quickly cut from him blowing a stream of fire to a clip of him standing still. The angles on his face just seem a little... too similar? And the second doesn't fit in as well with the rest of the sequence (there's something about the lighting in there...)

Overall, very nice! :D

Pen-pen: you got any takers for the "Epic Melody" section? If not... let's talk. >__>

Heh, I changed my mind. So did... Tony Levin.

Anyway, as much as I'd like to pull Jasper back from running into any more tracks, I think she'd be able to make a damn fine track out of that segment. Whenever that has any chance of happening, of course, but all in due time.

Which others are still available, anyway? I want answers! :|

OK, project update.

To be honest I'm a little unsure how to move forward on this project. Many of the segments are done, but there are several gaping holes in the timeline. I have done my best to recuit new people to the project with extremely limited success.

So basically we have my section (I'll take another shot at it but I doubt I will be able to complete the whole thing) BMA's section, not sure what's going on here, and a couple of little spots here and there. I will try to post a diffinitive "footage needed" list.

I will be gone this weekend, not returning until tues, so I'll be incomunicado for a bit.

I really want to get to the point where I have all the footage and I can really get to work and at that point you guys can all start hounding on me to finish and it will be a pretty linier proccess unless major technical issues come up.

To get to that point we need to decide where to reasign sections and assign free sections. If you guys have any ideas on how to get editors for these sections (some short some long) now is the time for suggestions.
