Sorry about the lack of involvement on my part recently. I've been working a lot and am on a bit of hiatus from AMVing at the moment. Never fear though, I'm still commited to making this project as good as it can be (which if you ask me is pretty damn good.)

I'll be getting a new computer soon and start editing again, but for now I don't really have anything to show you (Except this, which is extremely short because of a camera error and the second half is a bit to low of a framerate because I was trying to see how much I could strech it and still maintain the illusion of motion. Damn this is a long aside.)

Anyways, I'm not tierd of AMV's or nothing I'm just taking a break and getting ready to start learning how to do effects and exerting more control over my source. (I don't need it to be perfect but I'd like to move from my skill level now: Still Preocupied with 1985 to a smother more profesional, artistic feel: Into the Fire.)

Working 6 days a week at a moving company and suplementing that with rebuilding part of my house hasn't helped either.

Hopefully there is some progress being made on the various segments (other than oto's which is on hold pending final decitions on the title.)

I'd love to hear from people about what's going on, even if you don't have much to report. I havn't been on AIM much but feel free to post questions, Even when I'm being quiet I check the forums more often than is really healthy.

Bum: I'll give you an op when you get up that nice good quality version. Happy B-day man.

Okay, my update is as follows. There are a couple of tiny, tiny, tiny, tweaks I want to make to my section before I put it up for final evaluation. I've been pretty busy procastenating to get any work on any AMVs done, but I'll try to have it up in a couple of days.

Not much to report on my end, except the off-topic reminder that you need to send me a nice copy of your Animasia segment in the next few weeks. :P

(Still no DVDs from Rose yet...)

Quality as in video quality, not editing quality. It's just too compressed to see what the final result will look like. (remember some of us havn't seen the anime, which makes it hard to reconize things that are blurry and fast.)

Jasper-Isis: Also off topic, doesn't Cowboy Bebop have a scene with a tendril of smoke obn a black background? You should make a thread in AMV suggestions and see if anyone can help you out.

Do you mean the opening bit? I think the problem there is that the smoke is too much stencil-ish. I think something 'thinner' and more variably transparent would be better... but Bebop with all the smoking might be a good place to look.

Uh. I'm not Jasper though. Really :P

I've recently been preoccupied with my modding projects, but these should all be released in just a couple of days, with the fallout probably settling shortly. All in all, I have the time to finish my segment soon though. I'm not 100% sure what you'll have with the title by the end of it all, Pen-Pen - so I'm sort of holding off on that. Otherwise, I think my segment could be finished and sent on only 24 hours notice.

Small update on my section. I finally have 15 seconds that I'm happy with. (Yes, I know I'm picky) I'll render it in the morning and upload it for you guys to critique. Night all.

Okay, I just did that. I have some really old and small-resolution DivX fansubs of Bebop that I'll look through, but if I find anything I'm going to have to get a higher resolution source...

Maybe rose's DVDs will come in the mail today. Maybe? Maybe?

Well, it doesn't matter, because tonight = me scrambling to finish and upload my AWA pro video. Yeah, I procrastinated until last Thursday, then decided that I really wanted to enter. This is going to be a personal record for shortest amount of time taken to edit a video, heh. >__>

Oh, I thought you were talking about my actual latest released amv which I was beging for ops for.

Anyway, I ripped the vob's made avs files for my section. Some are acting a bit wierd. I'm gona try a different avi wrapper and just make the avi from the d2v file instead of an avs file. I should have a nice, shiny quality version up by the end of this week at the latest.

WHEEEE! I finally have no complaints! Lol. You really pulled this off. It's much more visually interresting than the earlier drafts and I understood the storyline you portrayed too. EXCELLANT!

I fixed my little video issues last night and managed to get a nice, shiny 1mbps wmv9 clip out. Seeing it at that quality, I'm kinda starting to actualy like my segment. now I just gota go somewhere with broadband so I can upload it.

Ack! I'm so awful. I know I promised everyone a beta a few days ago, but I found something else to nitpick at. I'll get you guys a beta before the week is out.

Hah, don't worry about it song. Our nitpicking/beta response only gets useful when you have no more big/solvable nitpicks of your own.

Looking forward! Looks like two more segments are on the way then. That'll make it 5 that I've seen something of.
