The update is this: I'm kinda in the middle of applying to college, getting together a research project for Intel STS, and trying to stay on top of my senior year courseload (which, surprisingly, hasn't been that bad... but still... eh..)

So yeah, progress has been slow. I had hoped that the project wouldn't extend into this month, but... some things couldn't be helped.

Not to say that there hasn't been any progress at all. Song has finished all of her recordings, and I managed to render a few commentaries the other day. Now that Bakadeshi's done with AWA, I can get him the new stuff, and we'll get rolling again.

The current to-do list is posted on dwp's site.

Maybe I can devote a weekend to getting things wrapped up... after ED and SATs...

[haha, fond memories for you guys, eh? >__>]

Well...it's not much, but I've submitted the rest of my voice overs to Jasper. :)

Same, and she requested that I re-record one of them, which I'll get to shortly (as soon as my voice recovers). And they still pale in comparison with Song's -__-

Otherwise, the project's delays are um... all my fault. Quick, take advantage of the fact that I'm sick and high on flu medicine and beat me to death for this - I'm sure everyone here needs a good outlet for their frustration about the project still not having been finished x__x

Just want to update that I'll have a sample narative done soon. finally got the mizuho mask to look good, so I can concentrate on finishing up the narative I was working on before I decided to redo the Mizuho part from scratch.

Look for an update in as little as a few days.

Haha, I think you might've been the only one to get that particular memo from me. >__>

Hmm, question for the AE users:

In Premiere 6.0, the motion settings allow you to make the motion Linear, Accelerate, or Decelerate. [screencap here; the drop-down menu shows only two at at time for some reason]

Any know if this option exists for the regular Transform settings in AE 6.5?

If it does, I could have a much easier time getting the arm motions to look natural... and thus save a lot of time...

And if there isn't something as simple as the drop-down menu, am I gonna have to go into the velocity graphs? >__>

That premiere motion control is like a bad joke compared to AE. In fact animating an arm movement is a pretty simple proposition in AE because it's what that program is designed for.

For one you have actual keyframes that give you much better control. Just set one at each point you want the arm to change, and then hit "auto bezier" then you can tip down the triangle and see the actual speed curve and ajust it using the control handles.

If you want to send me the source files I can probably get it looking pretty natural.

yea I love that bazier feature in AE, I used it a little in Zetsumo. Unfortunately I only had a 15 day trail, so I couldn;t redo the entire video in AE, nor can I help you much on this stuff. But If you have AE, Penpen's right, AE gives you much more control over movement and motion. Mostly because of the keyframes and bazier curves that allows it move smoothly instead of jerky when you set it up right.

1 Narative... er... comentary... is about halfway completed.

Cool. My trial's already run out, but I bet I can beguile my brother into letting me use his computer today.

And I could've swore it was 30 days, not 15?

Alright guys, I shall make this as simple as I can:

I've been tasked with putting together the official video description for the project. Obviously, it's not going anywhere without input from all of you. Because I don't want to speak on behalf of everyone without asking first, of course.

So:
Ideas? Suggestions?
What would you like to see in the project's video description? In terms of your own work? And in general terms?

Don't make me bug all of you (excluding Jasper, she gets enough as it is) on AIM about this...

there's general project info - the idea of an instrumental project, the history of the project

um, tracklist

credits to special roles - rose for creating the project and a lot of the ideas, jasper for finishing directing the project and some artwork, kalium, pen-pen, and ooshna for helping hosting, song and oto for narrations, bakadeshi for some artwork and dvds, and i forgot what else

then specific comments about the project. it might work better if we group everybody's personal comments into one block of text rather than separate them by editor as was done in the Children's Project.

Yeah, we don't need to put specific comments for each segment in the video description because that's what the monologues are for. Instead, it would be nice to gather and combine everybody's thoughts about the project as a whole.
