Since I'm not going on Friday, I'll have to catch the contest on Saturday. So I guess I'll meet you guys after the contest/panel. And we can do lunch or something.

Now about those widescreen commentaries... here's what we'll do. To get a better idea of how everything fits together, I want you guys (Oto, Kalium, and probably Pen) to send me your best shot at one of the commentaries. You can choose whichever one you want. I'll then take that audio and composite that commentary in video form. And then we'll all uh... decide, I guess. :P

EDIT: until DWP posts them on his website... the widescreen commentary revisions are located here. (Revised to be more accessible to speech, as promised. If you've got a major problem with any changes, talk to me.)

see some of you at Otakon, and the rest of ya back here the week after ;p

On that note, I'll be staying up in VA for the following week after otakon, so no work will be done on the naratives till I get back. Hopefully I'll have one ready for you guys to demo soon.

First off, I'd like to say it was realy nice to finally meet some of the editors from this project, namely Downwithpants, Jasper-Isis (and her friend Krtz) and Songbird21 (and her cute little girl) all of you were a pleasant to meet and hang out with, as short as that was for some of you ;p

Anyway, back to animasia matters, I got some stuff from Jasper at the con, supposedly everything I need for the naratives, and most things I need for the DVDs I think. I havn't gone through them quite yet. But just posting some kinda update so people know the project is still chugging along.

I won't be able to do any actuall work till I get back to GA though, which will be next week. Visiting some friends in VA after Otakon this week.

P.S., maybe we can try and get this to premeire at AWA?

P.P.S: Jasper: So sorry for forgetting to bring my better quality video for you, I will upload it for you the minute I get back to GA. don't let me forget. Beat me with a stick if you have to ;p

whew, what a fun time it was at otakon. i'm really glad i could meet songbird, bakadeshi, and jasper-isis. but i was hoping to meet songbird again so i could get a picture of her and her daughter, who was THE CUTEST THING at the con T_T. well here's a pic of jasper, bakadeshi and me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/ ... 10067a.jpg
which reminds me, i forgot to harass krzT to make another vid.

anyways, bakadeshi and jasper should have my new vid now. the title is @;~',~~~
if you're confused, that's supposed to be ascii art for a rose. the music is Gymnopedie no. 1, composed by Erik Satie, performed by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. the video is Azumanga Daioh. i'll work on a monologue

it doesn't seem like we'll be able to make awa. the deadline for the expo is 8/26, this friday. and i need to write a narrative and songbird needs to record it.

Seen your new video DWP and I definitely like it quite a bit. :)

Yea, AWA would be a bit of a stretch. That's alright. As long as it's out sooner rather than later.

*Cries* I am so upset I didn't get to spend more time with you and Chris. Everything was just so damn hectic. You wouldn't believe the amount of running I did at the con. I never run. I have shin splints in my left leg. -_-;; I didn't ditch you guys after our meetings, honest I didn't.

Is there any chance you or Chris are coming to Anime Boston in 2006? I don't think I'll be going to Otakon next year. The drive is just too long (10 hours). I didn't get a pic with either of you, dammit. If tried to express just how upset I am about that we'd be here all day.

Did either you or Chris get to see the Piano Squall concert? I was one of the singers for One Winged Angel.

*Sniffles* I'll have pics of us up by the end of the day. Maybe sooner.

Thank you SO much Chris. At least I have a pic of you guys. You wouldn't mind if I stick myself in the via photoshop would you?

As soon as you got it done. *Salutes*

Yey! Otakon was fun! Chris and Kareef... sorry krzt and I kinda ditched everybody before lunch. To tell the truth... we actually didn't like the food court. But we didn't want to force a change of plans, so... xD

Aww, I wanna see what Song's daughter looked like! Picture please! xD

it doesn't seem like we'll be able to make awa. the deadline for the expo is 8/26, this friday. and i need to write a narrative and songbird needs to record it.

And unfortunately, among other things, we still don't have a voice for the widescreen commentaries. >__>

Since I've already uploaded a distro copy of Chris' @;~',~~~, I'll send out links by pm tonight. And then it'll be time to pm Kalium with your votes again. :D

The commentary stuff? I'd already given you everything that I have for that so far. The discs that I gave you on Saturday contained most of the the clean-up and compatible files that you can use for the DVD.

Song: I still need to send you TJ's commentary for recording. I'll talk to you online soon!

And I still can't get that bloody microphone. :?
Don't worry, I'll have it settled out somehow, if that's needed. I do sometimes wish we could just put a call out to the community and see if any more qualified 'voice actors' would be interested. As much as I enjoy recording this stuff... I somehow don't think that whatever we could muster forth would be at the same level as Song's earlier narration :)
