Jasper, you should download it as soon as possible, I don't know how long they will keep a 600 Mb file on their servers.

Part two will be up tomorrow.

Okay, I'll download it when I get home today. (Typing from the "secret" Lab now.) :D

Now I just gotta hunt down Bakadeshi...

Dwp, any word on that short video?

Also, who else here is going to Otakon? I know Bakadeshi and Dwp are. Song? Pen-pen? I know last year's attempted meet-up was kind of a bust. :P We should probably make some more concrete plans this time...

... and gosh, this project IS that old, isn't it. :P I've got a list of our quotes stretching back to last summer. All of them read something along the lines of "good to know we're finally getting this done." xD

progress is being made. i have a "bait" video more or less finished. what remains is switching to huff source, adding effects, cleaning, and compressing, and if time, more revision. it's still possible this will get done in two weeks.

we should definitely meet up after the amv panel (assuming there is one). last year it was held saturday morning and a bunch of editors met up to have lunch afterwards. hopefully this year will run in a similar fashion. otherwise, you can try to find me at whatever overflow screenings my submission got placed into, or the main amv contest friday night. i'll give more details closer to the date.

I have news that might be good news or it might be no news. I just got my new Akira Special Edition (with Digtally Remastered picture) and since I still had my old project files I can re-encode my video with huffy (if I can get the picture brighter)

I'm here, just realy busy with preperations for trip to otakon and catching up with work at the shop so that I CAN go on said trip without leaving my dad with a mountain of work to do while I'm gone.

Work on the naratives are thus progressing very slowly, but still progressing. After Otakon they should speed right back up though.

I will actually be in Baltimore on thursday around midday, so perhaps if anyone else is comming that early we can also meet up to pick up our registrations thursday... assuming they are doing the same thing they did last year....

If you have any early betas - I'd be very curious. It's looking like I may just have to give up and do those voice things after all

Bartok dear, you're getting the widescreen and fullscreen section mixed up again. :P The commentaries that we need a voice for are the widescreen ones, which I will be putting together. Unless somebody else wants to do them instead and doesn't mind me nitpicking all over the place. xP

I haven't discussed Otakon plans in detail with krzT yet, but it seems that we're not going to attend on Friday. So I'll definitely be at the Saturday AMV showing. But yeah, I'll post some more concrete plans within the next week.

Ooshna: the copy of Simplicity that Rose sent me is fine, but you might want to encode a lossless copy and upload it for Bakadeshi for the DVD.

I think it's well known that I'm blind as a bat when it comes to video screen sizes, especially after 1am

And uh... I still want to see betas. Betas are a sign of progress. Progress is good.

All right, TJ's video gets the collective nod. So Song... be ready for a little more recording. :P

I should have a beta of my video up this weekend...

Hmm... we should make a decision about this widescreen commentary voice thing soon... though I'm still not quite sure how to go about that...

I think we still haven't established the availability (that's of voice, time and equipment alike) of anyone besides me for certain. Like I said, I'm up here doing my thing. In fact, I'm gonna be practicing these nar... commentary tracks again in just a few minutes. But I'm more than willing to give the job over to anyone else who sounds less silly than myself

And I'm glad my plug worked :P

I'm pretty sure I'll have plenty of time between now and the end of the month. After that, all bets are off.

hey the otakon schedule is up.
http://www.otakon.com/con_schedule.asp

looks like the amv panel is roughly the same time, saturday 10am to 12:30ish pm. the main amv contest is 11pm with seating starting at 10:30 pm.

as an arbitrary suggestion for a meeting place, let's try to meet next to the leftmost door of the panel room (facing the panelists) by 10am on saturday. and if some of us don't find each other before the panel, look for each other after the panel (12-12:30) so we can get lunch together.
meeting for the main amv contest on friday will be harder because of the size of the event and the long wait. but an arbitrary suggestion would be the south (harborside) entrance by 10pm on friday that leads to the food court (i think it's on the second floor). please leave any comments on meeting times and locations.

also, i'll give out my cell upon pm like songbird. hope to see those of you who are going there.

as for my video... it's seen a little progress. more to come soon.
