Into the fray we go once more! We must get everyone back up to speed, we have a solid 6 months for production, and this year feels much less like shit.

I don't have Anime Mid Atlantic to deal with anymore so I have a lot more time to work on things.
I'm also gonna consult my mailing list as well as several Facebook communities for contributions.
I have a good feeling about this year...

The year break did well for my creativity I think, although I'll again need to get up to speed on editing :P I hope everyone's lifted out of last year's events that blocked participation. I know I'm all set to go now, so I'm going to start right around Christmas.

Is there a theme or are there any requirements?

The theme is as yet undetermined.
It usually develops near the end of production but we're always open to ideas.
We also try to have a running gag every year but that is also up for grabs.

Our previous years have been things such as commercials and the usual. Some people have said they have difficulty working without themes as a basis, I personally go with what's funny regardless of the theme, but some people have said they need the theme to help them get started. So we'll see about generating a theme very soon, since I want to see everyone have a place to start for ideas. I've got my list of stupid crap I generate over the year ready, so many I won't even get to half of them probably, but I want to see people making all the ideas they've always wanted to do so they have a permanent record of the Otakon recording of people enjoying their jokes.

First clip done. Granted it was finishing it up from last year, but already moving along. Earlier than normal actually, now on to the harder clips.

Okay, all.
We have a bit less than two months until the deadline and, then, we need to have something to turn in to Otakon as a placeholder.
We can spend the following month polishing up for a final copy.
I'm putting a few things together and I spoke to a couple of people at Tekko about this last weekend but we need more.
I'm not panicking because I understand the nature of AMV creators (waiting until a week before final deadlines and such) BUT I'd feel better if even a few clips at a time came in now and again.
Just so I know this project is still on.
Anyway, just checking in.
Now get back to work! :P
