I agree with everyone about the beginning being a bit plain. Maybe you could add a scene of her running so it goes with the lyrics? I'm not 100% sure but I think in either episode 1 or 2 there might be some good scenes you could use. ;) Otherwise I think it's pretty nice so far. ^^

Everyone really hit what I wanted to say about your track FS. But it's definitely looking good thus far.

I will end up making the final fixes for the final beta when crazy week at college is over. 3 tests this week + 1 massive project + economics paper = psychotic code. :3

Assuming I'm still alive by this point anyway.

MelyoraMel:
There are only two things I would like to point out. First - the first two scenes are kind of unfitting I'd say... or maybe it's just the first one > it just doesn't really follow up as good as the rest. And second - the last 3 scenes are kind of off beat I'd say. Other than that it's pretty awesome! :awesome:

x2. I think you can take the second scene and put it inplace of the first one. Then use something with Ryou for the 2nd scene. And you've also got quite a bit of lipflap going on. D:

When I don't usually say something about a beta, it's already been said before. So why repeat it? :awesome:
I agree with what's been said so far for MelyoraMel's and FadingSundown's track.

Woot! We're almost done with this. |:> :pizza:
Ok, new possible final video has been sent out with the zoom fix. Good? :shark:

Hitori: it's good, you can send the final

MelyoraMel: very nice progress, it is much better  as Aimo mentioned there are quite a few lip flaps, also, at the end, you should do something with the blue coloring, because I think it is too strong, and the zoom on the last scene is too fast (or you zoom too much), but it is really a lot better

if there's anyone who hasn't seen my previous beta then don't be afraid to tell me, I'm just saying this because I'll be using the KimiKiss Pure Rouge track, so if you'd like to see, either tell me, or you'll see it with the Full MEP beta the next time :P

I already let you know my thoughts, but I'll be interested in watching the next beta. We need to focus in the transitions

Okay, I'll try and correct that all. Thanks guys! ^_^ Problem with that blue scene is, that it's original, so it's this blue in the anime, but I think I can dim it with some greyscale =)

Don't forget you can use Adjust => Levels under video effects in adobe instead of doing grayscale. I don't know what the variant is in vegas or other editing programs though but its better for correcting a scene that focuses too much on blue because you can just lower the blue setting in levels instead of diming the clip to a gray/blackish color.

First of all, let me apologize for my lack of activity in beta reviewing. I have a very difficult (senior) semester at college, and my time that isn't involved with that has been dedicated with other projects I'm trying to finish.

Next, I have my fourth (and hopefully final!) beta for the MEP. The blurs have been removed to improve quality and editing. You should all have it in the next hour or so.

Don't worry Code, I understand you :P you almsot finished your track anyway

MelyoraMel: please don't forget to you resize your part to 848x480

Edit:
Fadingsundown: actually, it is not necessary to leave the background of the last scene black, it looks good if I just simply fade it (it seems like the dark parts fade before the light ones) but I think that you should change the first scene, because it doesn't really fit :P and maybe you should leave a scene that I can mask for transition? <-- what do you think about this everyone?

Code: why is the first scene lighter? since Tritio's part ends with dark anyway, and maybe I can make a mask transition? also there's still a flash that's not so necessary at 0:19 :P otherwise I don't really have problems I think, maybe you could reduce the strength of the flashes a bit, but your track is really nice

Re: Groove Coverage MEP (7/11 FINALS RECEIVED!)

Postby CodeZTM » Sat Nov 12, 2011 4:05 pm

Tritio asked me to make the first scene lighter. Should I disregard this? And the thing at :19 isn't a flash. It's the footage of the swords clashing. Should I take that out and just move it forward a bit? And I'll work on the flashes a bit.

EDIT: How do ya'll like it without the blurring? I'm moderately freaking out without them. :uhoh:

Code: oh, but still, I think it's nicer to leave it naturally as it is, or what did you want to do with it Tritio?

it would be nice if you tried to cut the flash of the swords then, and okay

hmmmmmmm I like both versions, with and without blur as well, but maybe 0:04 seems a bit.....rough? and maybe some other zooms after that :P
