D: no I'm not saying that you're lazy. I was just saying that sometimes keeping simple a scene may be more helpful than trying to do a super transition to show something that might just need a crossfade

AimoAio wrote:Hmm...personally I was more focused on the scene itself rather than what the characters were saying. I felt like the lipsync wasn't necessary for the first part of the track because you wanted to rely on the scenes to build up the mood. Then the scenes at 0:14-0:22 were simply too fast for the lipsync to be effective. 0:22 onwards is where I thought the lipsync was a good idea.
Oh, I see. I've changed the beginning. As for 0:14-0:22, those were the scenes I wanted and they lipsynced well. Otherwise, I would have to do some masking to either keep their mouths open or shut. :uhoh:

MystykAMV wrote:yeah but you could try different things in the first half? D: for example I liked your zooms in the second beta and the flashes are also nice, the problam was always that there were too many of them, but if you tried using them like zoom-flash-zoom-flash-then something else, and maybe try hitting the bigger beats with that "zoom with lower opactiy" rather than the ones that are not as loud >.<
I'm sending out another edit. Let me know what you think.

No problem! I'm just trying to get it done because no one else really wanted to do the track at the time. :awesome:

Hitori:
I like this one :awesome: just the flash at 0:07 comes in too late imo :P  and please don't forget to leave your last scene a bit longer xD :P

Hitori: It looks so much nicer now. You might want to add a tiny pan to the scene at 0:03 and 0:04.

MystykAMV wrote:just the flash at 0:07 comes in too late imo

Maybe you could fade out the previous scene to black and then flash the next one in?

Alrighty!
As for the last scene... It kinda ends 2 frames after that. But I guess I can do something about it. :shark:

Thanks, it took some time to get through the different versions but at least everyone saw a lot of development and changes throughout the betas. |:> :pizza:

Why would I add a pan? Now I have to look for an image of a pan? :awesome:
Ok, I'll do a little bit of panning for those two scenes.

Alrighty, I like the fade to black idea.

New Beta will be sent out soon. |:>

actually I don't really like this thing with the darkness, but the hardcut wasn't the best either (in the previous version), maybe you oculd try a crossfade or a flash? and I actually rendered the transitions to both versions I'll send it now

Hitori: I think the fade at 0:07 can be longer so it's synced to the end of "side". You also seemed to have missed the beat at 0:10. Otherwise I think it's ready to be a final. ;)

Edit: as for the transition, I think since FadingSundown had the whole film effect going in the background you could make use of that and do the same effect for the first scene of Hitori's track? Just have it overlayed at the end of the HnA track and then zoom into the picture for the start of the Magi track. ^^

Beats, cross-fades, hard cuts, fade-to-black... I took all the feedback and did it all for this edit and still no good? :dino:

I actually liked it when there were more zooms and flashing. The hard beats and swish beats just lends itself to being done that way in my eyes. :uhoh:
Ok, totally redoing the lead-up to the middle part of the track to be "softer"

As for the transition, I gave my input on what I would do with them earlier. |:>

Hitori: Well this version looks ok to me so I'll just go ahead and give my approval for it being a final.

Hitori: xD one thing only, I think the zoom at 0:14 is kinda too fast >.< otherwise I think it's ready for final

AimoAio: I don't really understand what yoU're trying to say with the transition xD should I mask in Fadingsundown't track, or shold I make a film effect?

Sorry for my inactivity, school is really busy at the moment xD. About the transition between mine and Hitori's part: I can make the background of the last scene of my part greenscreen, so that Hitori's part can be put there, if you would like that :3.

I will post my beta-testing tonight ><

FadingSundown:
I really like the new version of the final scene. :). I've also come to really like the masking part with "Because I just wanna live my life". You are right that the beggining is really plain... I can't really remember the anime but if there would be a scene with more action but of course with their argument it could look nice... or just more frequentive scene changes... like once per two beats.. I can't really imagine how it would look, though. And now to this really small thing > 0:16-0:28 There's this thin white bar that ramains from the masking scene at 0:15 or so. Otherwise I like the improvement... good job

I agree with ibabrak, I think you should chage scenes more frequently and try not to hit every beat with black fades. at 0:10 it seems like there's a black fade or blank space which looks similar to a mistake, could you do something about it please? :P and yeah that white border that ibabrak mentioned, also at the irst part there's a lot of lip flap, and yes it would be nice if you could leave the last few seconds in the background green, but at the same time fade out the mask? but don't worry Fadingsundown, your part will be awesome
