The Vocaloid MEP::Dead::

Postby DarkSchneider » Tue Feb 22, 2011 12:49 pm

BETA Deadline : TBA
Finals Deadline : February 2012

Update as of August 13, 2011 - I gave a month to people on the list to make themselves known that they are still on, and only [madaraxD], Minimoto and TritioAFB have answered. For everyone else on the list, I have assumed they are not interested, and therefore have crossed them off. With that said, I have re-opened recruitment. If anyone is interested in joining this MEP, please e-mail or PM me. For the rules, see below. Thanks.

Heya all,

I'm thinking of doing a Vocaloid MEP. All this will be is a collection of tracks(Albums, tracks from Project Diva games, etc.) all hashed together into a MEP. It's pretty simple, and I hope will be a lot of fun.

Here's a set of rules on how it should be conducted:

1. Anime Content must be Org Friendly(No Hentai mainly)
2. Any tracks you decide to do must be between 30 seconds(minimum) to one minute(max). Editors may choose one track or they can do two if they wish.
3. Whatever music done by vocaloids will be admitted, that means not just Miku, but songs from Luka, Rin, Len, Kaito, etc. will have a place.
4. Will take *.AVI, *.MPEG, *.MP4, etc. As long as its the best quality you can make it. Oh yes, and 29.97 fps & 16:9(1280x720)
5. Prefer Pro Movie Making Programs like Sony Vegas, Ulead, Adobe, etc. for best results. But if you can do the same on WMM(Windows Movie Maker), then be my guest.
6. Single animes for tracks can be used twice by two different editors. Only exception is if segment is Miscl. Anime.

If anyone has any questions, interested in starting project, etc., they can email me at:

AlmightySphroth@aol.com (mention this thread in subject so that I don't toss it as junk mail), and I can also be contacted at djbeaver1020@yahoo.com

Awesome. If you guys wanna go ahead and claim tracks, go right ahead.

Since I've made this decision, I may as well claim one. I'm gonna claim "Promise" by Kagamine Rin & Hatsune Miku. I got a few ideas on what anime to pair with, but for now that's my track claim.

And I'm gonna wait for a few more people to take interest before I declare this project underway, just to be safe, but if you have friends that are interested, talk to em and get em onboard. ^_^

I'd be interested, if I wasn't so damn lazy. I'll get back to you on whether or not I can find the motivation to edit.

I'm putting dibs on "Secret Police" by Hatsune Miku because, damn, that song would be too much fun to edit to. (Probably use Baccano! for footage.)

Question: Is there a required frame width/height? Meaning does everything have to be, say, 1280x720 and no 720x480 allowed, or is anything we can do fine? (As long as it's in the previously stated HQ, of course.)

Now that you mention it, I never thought about that, but I would say 720x480.

There is no track list. Just pick something that was done by any Vocaloid from any album(for starters, look up songs from the Project Diva games if you're looking for a track to use, as a suggestion), say ya wanna do a track, and go from there.

Speaking of which, I'd better start a "claimed" track list on the first post of this thread.

I'll do

Baby to K-ON!!

I think the song is called baby anyway it's on my Baby / Yellow album but I don't remember playing through it in the two Project Diva games. Actually it might be one of the OP songs.

There is no 720x480. There is 16:9 (848x480, 1280x720) or 4:3 (640x480). 720x780 is just a DVD container size for these two options.
