One question for you all, what do you think of me doing a version of my original Gundam one where he DOESN'T explode? Where he goes "Now then! YIKES! AND AWAY!! *Click*" *Still shot of the gundam* Cut to him, still, then have him click repeatedly, then show Zechs sitting in his chair as the clicks are heard over the footage, cut back to the gundam, then cut back to Heero and just have him stop and go "SH**" and end on that. May be a decent one for post credits perhaps? I'm still trying to think of other good ones.

SammySama, no real two ways about it, that was fuckin' funny ^^ I laughed out loud truly four full times after watching it, there's something new to catch each time. Your timing is really there, and the explosion was good too. You can tell that the explosion is coming because it's mustang, but because you used the fluffy line (as well as that awesome ed face everyone loves ^^) it doesn't matter that they know what type of clip it's going to be. This'll be absolutely perfect near the end after the other explosions and fluffy clips, a wonderful unification. Very nice job ^^ Only thing I wonder is if we should up the volume on the 'fluffy' lines across the whole production, they may be a bit hard to hear in an auditorium, especially if there's any residual laughter in the audience or anything.

Yup, actually now that I hear it, I probably should have said to raise the "Any Last Words" as well. Don't spike the audio of course, but raising it so that it's not too subtle would be a good idea. And now that I look at the clip again, I'm wondering if it wouldn't do well with a second or two of just a shot of Mustang or Ed with the audio from the source of right before "Any Last Words?" so it's not so abrupt a clip, just in case there's more residual laughter from a previous clip.
Other than that, you may want to make it even louder, since the "IT'S SO FLUFFY!!" is kind of throaty and fast, so I get the feeling it'll have some people have trouble hearing it when it's bouncing off walls. Scott just told me the "The hell..? D'I just get laid?" was hard to hear, so I'm upping that volume as well. Plus he/she is screaming it, so it's reasonable to be louder, but not too much more. I think you're on the right track though. Just close your eyes when you're listening and if you're like "might be too loud" then it might be. Another thing is if you're in a place with multiple rooms, let it play, then head outside the door and see what's hard to hear over two or three play throughs. The wall will muffle it a bit and see what things become a tad unclear and that'll be an indication of which areas may be troubled by speaker base. This only really makes sense when you're using multiple audio sources though.

I think though it's not technically on the schedule because it IS just a beta screening and I think he does it after showing the past one.
But if both you and Deuce are gonna be there, do you think one of you could record it happening? Last year he wrote down a list of reactions but I think it's a lot more effective to hear it yourself. And not just that, but I think it's just as important to know just not how hard people laugh but when they laugh in a clip...and how long it lasts so you don't put something behind a clip where the funny part of it will be missed because people are still laughing at whatever came before.

SammySamaProductions wrote:Sure I have no problem with recording the audience reaction ^_^ I usually sit in the back anyway so might as well "Go be efficient" lol. SO long as you guys don't mind my friend's commentary ...though that might be beneficial too...they tend to nit pick or they did last year anyway. If we can get wifi in the room I'll upload the video as soon as we get back from the viewing and post it so you all can see ^_^

If you can get them to hold off until the end, that'd help. You can even transcribe their thoughts here. Actually at Otakon, my friends were piiiissed at some people in front of them, or behind them, who wouldn't shut up about it. I guess somehow they'd seen AMVS4 or something and were spoiling it for them, not sure how, but they were quite annoyed afterward at the people talking over the jokes. For the purposes of the video, if we can get normal audience reaction that'd be best, so hopefully they'll recognize that ^^ If they have comments though, like I said, take 'em here, we'll listen.
