I was thinking about that today.
Better to be safe and do that. ;)

I'll get my list ready tonight or tomorrow. No opinions on that clip? I'd like to hear what people honestly think. I have some impressions from my friends that tell me something about it, but I want to hear what you all think as well.

That was...special. :P
I like the effect of having to wait for the punchline as well as a foul-mouthed Edward.

Well I meant more is it worthy or not. The impressions from my friends tended to lean toward it didn't quite fit, and I'm trying to figure out why. I still like the idea of Ed saying that to Cornelo, I've liked the idea for over a year, but what seems to be the issue is they said that the lines before it didn't warrant him saying that in return. I was thinking of using later lines, when Cornello is screaming bullshit at Ed like "You stepped on the toes of god!!" and then switching the footage from Ed standing there to him sitting there in the pews reading from his book of notes when he's listing off the elements of the human body. Basically make it that he couldn't give two shits about Cornello's rant.

I personally like the motion of him with a shit-eating grin and putting his hands on his hips, but it may not quite fit the lines.

But in all honesty, is the concept worthy of moving forward? I may just make a version I think works so we can test it at AMA, that may be the best test...

That's what the AMA beta screening is for.
I'mma throw things together as we did last year (as close to the same flow scheme as possible) and see how it flies.
For now I just wanna get the current lineup together for Scott and send it out.

I need everyone's info who has not yet sent it for their clips by tomorrow...

He's been telling me you haven't responded. From what I remember him telling me yesterday, he needs a 60-word description and a length so he can include it in the information for the fan parody screenings (I told him 30 minutes). He hasn't heard from you at all, but I've been filling him in on the status. You should really be more communicative ^^

I'll have my credits tonight sent with the intro in its current form. I'll be working the rest of tonight to get the final elements in, and hopefully they'll work. I may do additions to it afterward, but my goal now is to do other clips so I can feel less like a failure this year. Only 5 clips? Hell naw! Plus I want to get to my own explosion ones. We need more.

At this rate, if nobody wants to do those, we may as well use those as fun ones and turn "It's so fluffy!" into the gag and do more of those ^^

I don't understand.
I sent him an email several days ago telling him I couldn't "sign" the document to send it.
I asked if we actually have to mail it for FTP permission or whatever the deal is.
Still haven't heard back from him.
I also responded to several threads on the forum and nothing there either.

I'll try again...

Perhaps this was before you sent that. Or perhaps a wrong e-mail? No, you'd be able to tell, it would have come back to you. I'll just assume you sent it after our conversation then, that'd make the most sense. I hope you can send a digital copy of the forms if you haven't done it already, that'd suck if we needed to mail it and were too late...

Ehr not sure what 'tommorow' is for you (different time zone :) ) but I'll send in my last clip (the bonanza one) in about 12-24 hours.

Also, you might want to consider losing a couple of lesser clips to get the overall quality up. It's nice to have a nice long amv, but you should not include (almost) everything you receive.. just the stuff that's good enough to go in the final project.
A 'beta screening' might give the wrong idea of the amv.. people will still think it's the final version..

I'm in agreement. The clips that needed work can be worked on in the next couple weeks of course, but there were a good 4 or 5 I think need to get bumped up in their lipsync to truly have full effect. Nearly all the musical K-on ones could use some checking, as well as the Haruhi funky town one. I have a few quick gag clips that will take a small amount of time to make, and I want to get them done so we have some more quick clips, since we have an abundance of longer ones this year.

Right now, nothing we have seems to work well in the credits, but that can be buffered if people can find shots of characters walking away from explosions in conjunction with the song. We ALL have to find these. I'm sure there's one in Vampire Hunter D, and I believe there's one in Helsing, I have neither. We only need a few though.

I think I can make some quick credit clips, I already have the ideas and much of the footage ready. But the best pickup clip we could use into the credits is something that connects to one from the actual production. Currently the second "It's so Fluffy!" one would be my choice.

Everyone's just so busy apparently. This time last year all the regulars were active.

I've sent in two "It's so fluffy" clips so far (including the original one) and I could possibly come up with a few more of those easier than the explosion clips. We can always use the explosion clips in the credits though as sort of an added extra though right?

I'd just rather dedicate time to one or the other so there aren't so many clips having to be sent. I can get working on clips for either I just need to know what to look for ^_^

First, I think the explosions should be the gag running throughout the episode through the end credits.
The dud clip just before the credits...not sure who was doing that one.
The "fluffy" gag should work too if it's only a few clips.

Also...I hope krvabo approves of this:

I sent in another one but don't know if you got that batch and or had seen any of the others I've sent since the first beta was sent out. I can pull together a few more fluffy ones no problem. I'll see if I can get them done tonight and tomorrow so they can be in before the deadline and I leave for my camping trip.

Hehe, pretty much what I pictured ^^ The explosion's rather pixelated though, maybe in the coming weeks we can find something more viable for that scene. Considering it'll be in the credits, perhaps we could get away with a huge nuke at that point...? Worth considering I guess. This is one of those instances where a human works, because everyone knows it's a tag and so it's an ironic usage ^^ I hope krvabo approves too.

It's your tag, krvabo, do you have a favorite explosion you love in any movie or anime?

All right everyone, this is my completed (first draft) of the intro. I REALLY REALLY want your impressions on it. Let me know if there's anything you think I could do to make it better, if you think something looks exceptionally off, just let me know. I can't promise too many massive changes but we have the time to fix it, and now's the time.
