Ya...that was also my thoughts exactly.
Also, as to some of mine.
The huge amount of Sailor Moon is my fault...sorry bout that lol.
I actually thought the mnemonics one one of my better ones ^_^; It's based on those old school films so the narrator and the teacher aren't the same. I saw in the comments that at least one person liked it. So...I'd really like to run it by the test audience at Anime Mid Atlantic (I assume you're still doing that Deuce?). If it falls flat...then the masses will have spoken and I'll let it go. Maybe it would fit best going before the title, kind of as a lead in?
The She-Ra one I'm less confident about....I'd still like to at least get a gauge of reaction from it, but I'm much more willing to let it go...especially if after whatever else gets submitted it's running a little too on the long side.
The Friends on the Other Side one is from The Princess and The Frog...I'd be willing to wager you're in the minority for having not seen it. It's the scene where he gets turned into a frog so there's sort of an ironic connection.
I'm kind of surprised the Star Trek one has gotten such a positive reaction...I honestly didn't take much time trying to sync it up because I didn't think it would go over so well (in fact I almost didn't submit it). I can work on it though. While I'm at it, should I make the end more uniform with whatever kind of explosion you guys are doing?
I'm also surprised the Too Sexy one seems popular. I was super unsure about that one. It actually began it's life as me setting out to make a full amv and realizing it didn't really have the momentum to carry it's self for the full song. I was also worried it was too "have to know the series."
I debated long and hard on keeping the Duck Hunt title screen in, and whether it added to the joke or made it too long. I'm guessing from what you all have said, it's better WITH the title screen?
The Azumanga cake isn't so much a finished product as it's "I needed something to show for this". It's been a BITCH to try and sync. If you want to take a stab at it...by all means.
For the Robot Unicorn one, I figured just once in something wouldn't be so bad, and it's sorta different from the AMV Hell ones. I can make the end more explodey though...well just so long as it doesn't end up being too many of them and overkill.
For ones that aren't mine:
The I'm On A Boat one was actually one of the few to catch me off guard enough that I did in fact, laugh out loud. I don't know what it is, maybe it's just how straightforward it is, but it's actually one of my favorites.
The first time I saw the Muppet Babies one I wasn't sure what I thought about it, but then I watched it just in isolation and realized it was really clever if you're familiar with the movie. I think it would work better towards the front when people's attention span is still high. I also noticed it shares a few scenes with the Toys R Us one so they should be pretty far apart.
Also I think the Kung Fu Panda one works best where it currently sits, roughly in the middle. Also that's from the theatrical trailer and exactly how long it is. Since it's in a theater the joke of it is that he's staring at the audience, hence the "you guys look amazing by the way" line. (

I've been super busy lately, so not sure when exactly I'll get to polishing up the stuff I've mentioned though.
