Re: CascadaThon (Updates on Page 34)
Hmm, it seems that TC and I have been having trouble running into each other on AIM to set the next deadline. I'm going to set a date that TC and I briefly talked about. I think he should be ok with this date:
The next beta deadline is:
May 10, 2009
The Following people must submit final betas by this date:
Track 4 - TwilightChrono
Track 6 - sakuraslight
Track 8 - HagarenViper
Track 9 - sakuraslight
Track 10 - Kazemon
Track 11 - Vivaldi
Track 12 - Neverend
Track 13 - Neverend
Little should have to be done to correct any mistakes in your work. If you feel the need to, please submit a beta or two before the deadline.
The following people must submit a partial beta in by this date:
Intro - LittleAtari
Track 1 - IrAePyUrDrEaMz
Track 2 - Kazemon
Track 3 - LittleAtari
Track 5 - IrAePyUrDrEaMz
Track 7 - Vax
Ending - Blabbler
For this deadline, no short/experimental betas will be accepted. You must submit something that is around the length of half of your track. The only exception to the minimum length is on the credits for me and Blabbler, but we still must show betas for them.

Re: CascadaThon (Betas Due May 10th)
May 10th huh?
Just remember, that I'm moving out 21 days after that date. And Thus, won't be online much because of slow internet among other things.
I really wanted to see this project done before I moved out, which is why I set the date for completion at 6 months at the start of the MEP.
Also, chances are, with my slow to no internet connection, I probably won't even be able to see the completed MEP when it is finished. Unless I felt like letting my computer take hours upon hours to download it, which will probably not be the case.
I doubt we will be finishing it before June anyway.
I have now put my concerns out there.

Re: CascadaThon (Betas Due May 10th)
Yea, getting it out before you move out would be cutting it close. It would require half the tracks to be rushed, including compiling. There's also beta testing the entire mep, my computer freaking out, dealing with blabbler and Neverend arguing over who's name should sparkle more, etc.TwilightChrono wrote:May 10th huh?

But yea this wont be out until June. I hope to aim for mid June to finish up receiving lossless tracks and releasing this end of June. With sakuraslight convention line up, we definitely need to have this out by beginning of July because I dont want to cut it close to the first convention. Of course, the quality of the MEP takes priority over the convention, but unless we run into any major problem, I don't see a reason why this can't be released at the end of June.
Thanks for understanding TC.
Also yes you will spend hours downloading this MEP. Don't lie to yourself. Also I can provide you with a smaller resolution version of the MEP.

Re: CascadaThon (Betas Due May 10th)
I don't want a lower resolution version. Also, keep in mind, that there is also I chance I won't have an internet connection come June, and the chance that I won't be able to see the MEP at all. It's why schedules are important to keep. 6 months meant 6 months. There is no reason why people should be taking so long with their tracks.
I explained this to you in AIM though. Agreed, problems arise and what not, and if problems arise, and you know you won't make the deadline, drop, and let someone else take over. Granted, that it's too late for that now, but there's no reason for you to hold on to your track when someone else could be editing it at that particular time.
As coordinator I have to be harsh at times, and I have to say:
"You are all gonna sit there and say that you haven't procrastinated on your track at all?"
"You are all gonna say that there wasn't any time in any day that you could have sat for like 30 minutes to an hour to edit?"
Just saying that I find it impossible that editors can't edit a full track in 6 months, especially tracks that are like 30 seconds to a minute. Granted, I've procrastinated, but both of my tracks are done, and have been. I already turned my track 4 final into LA, just not the lossless version. and my last track, I'm just tweaking a bit.
I'm just saying that editors in this MEP need some motivation and need to get crackin on their tracks. Cause the way things are going now, chances are, I won't even get to see this MEP at all, even when it does get finished. If things go well, I might have a fast internet connection, but time will tell.
Come on guys. Buckle down. I'm not trying to rush you. Just saying what was on my mind.
Do I need to break out Bauzi's candy whip again?

Re: CascadaThon (Betas Due May 10th)
what TC said - first day of the mep i got half of my track done in roughly 10 minutes (granted, afterwards i got lazy and then circumstances kicked in and junk)
there is absolutely no reason for this mep or meps in general to take over 2-3 weeks unless they are grand scale epic productions.
thats 2-3 weeks untill all finals are turned in, not till mep is out.
people just need to stop being lazy (myself included)

That one is not gonna start until CascadaThon is released. Even then, I'm still skeptic about starting it. I probably won't even start it.IrAePyUrDrEaMz wrote:wait.....but arent you coordinating another mep?
Granted. I do want CascadaThon to be a really good and awesomely made MEP, which takes time I realize. But all of it should have been done within the 6 month marker that was given.
Obviously, take your time guys, just don't procrastinate so much. Make your tracks good, but at the same time, meet those deadlines and meet the qualifications of that deadline. May 10th it is, but please, meet the requirements of that deadline that LA has set.

I dont even know what that isIrAePyUrDrEaMz wrote:you want my Chicken Tetrazzini

But yes, the May 10th deadline is a strict one and there isnt really a reason for any extensions for it.

Re: CascadaThon (Betas Due May 10th)
i saw Vivaldis track-epic 1 word
really really liked it when i watch it, its like my internal organs are having a party
TC's track to me looks oversynched and i dont like it at all, the editing is meh and the random lip flap is a turn off also some of the hard cuts just look bad but apparantly little atari LOVES it and my opinion foes not matter because his beta is approved by vax,LA,hagaren and blabbler
