D: no I'm not saying that you're lazy. I was just saying that sometimes keeping simple a scene may be more helpful than trying to do a super transition to show something that might just need a crossfade

Re: Groove Coverage MEP (FILLED!)
Oh, I see. I've changed the beginning. As for 0:14-0:22, those were the scenes I wanted and they lipsynced well. Otherwise, I would have to do some masking to either keep their mouths open or shut.AimoAio wrote:Hmm...personally I was more focused on the scene itself rather than what the characters were saying. I felt like the lipsync wasn't necessary for the first part of the track because you wanted to rely on the scenes to build up the mood. Then the scenes at 0:14-0:22 were simply too fast for the lipsync to be effective. 0:22 onwards is where I thought the lipsync was a good idea.
I'm sending out another edit. Let me know what you think.MystykAMV wrote: yeah but you could try different things in the first half? D: for example I liked your zooms in the second beta and the flashes are also nice, the problam was always that there were too many of them, but if you tried using them like zoom-flash-zoom-flash-then something else, and maybe try hitting the bigger beats with that "zoom with lower opactiy" rather than the ones that are not as loud >.<
No problem! I'm just trying to get it done because no one else really wanted to do the track at the time.Hitori wrote:I'm sorry for making you work so much on your MEP part D:

okay Tritio
Hitori:
I like this one
just the flash at 0:07 comes in too late imo
and please don't forget to leave your last scene a bit longer xD

Re: Groove Coverage MEP (FILLED!)
Hitori: It looks so much nicer now. You might want to add a tiny pan to the scene at 0:03 and 0:04.
Maybe you could fade out the previous scene to black and then flash the next one in?MystykAMV wrote:just the flash at 0:07 comes in too late imo

As for the last scene... It kinda ends 2 frames after that. But I guess I can do something about it.
Thanks, it took some time to get through the different versions but at least everyone saw a lot of development and changes throughout the betas.ibabrak wrote:Hitori:
I really like the change of transitions you did.
Why would I add a pan? Now I have to look for an image of a pan?AimoAio wrote:Hitori: It looks so much nicer now. You might want to add a tiny pan to the scene at 0:03 and 0:04.
Ok, I'll do a little bit of panning for those two scenes.
Alrighty, I like the fade to black idea.AimoAio wrote:Maybe you could fade out the previous scene to black and then flash the next one in?MystykAMV wrote:just the flash at 0:07 comes in too late imo

actually I don't really like this thing with the darkness, but the hardcut wasn't the best either (in the previous version), maybe you oculd try a crossfade or a flash? and I actually rendered the transitions to both versions I'll send it now

Re: Groove Coverage MEP (FILLED!)
Hitori: I think the fade at 0:07 can be longer so it's synced to the end of "side". You also seemed to have missed the beat at 0:10. Otherwise I think it's ready to be a final.
Edit: as for the transition, I think since FadingSundown had the whole film effect going in the background you could make use of that and do the same effect for the first scene of Hitori's track? Just have it overlayed at the end of the HnA track and then zoom into the picture for the start of the Magi track. ^^

Re: Groove Coverage MEP (FILLED!)
Beats, cross-fades, hard cuts, fade-to-black... I took all the feedback and did it all for this edit and still no good?
I actually liked it when there were more zooms and flashing. The hard beats and swish beats just lends itself to being done that way in my eyes.
Ok, totally redoing the lead-up to the middle part of the track to be "softer"
As for the transition, I gave my input on what I would do with them earlier.
