the worlds fastest banjo player played a song at 210 beats per minute. the highest a metronome will go it 250.

the note about one staff says the beats per minute is 788.
It CAN'T be played.

To get the closet idea of how it would sound. just download power tab editor, download a powertabs of any fast song from ultimate guitar tabs, then once you open it up change the tempo of the song to 300 with the half note selected. Not sure how fast that is but it's the fastest the editor will allow.

I went looking around, and it does exist. It's called "Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz", by John Stump. Apparently, he purposely wrote it to be unplayable. 0.o
