Ep 05 and my thinking was starting to move towards 'what? why are they trying to beat us over the head with how otakus suck?'.

It was getting almost forced feeling.

I liked 06 though.

This show putting the cute model fashion girl in the roll of the pervy otaku is just so at odds with what I am used to :)
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

I think that's why I'm liking this series so much, it completely steps away from the norms and stereotypes.
Most series similar to this one have similar themes: most imoutos are either tsundere or "oniiiiichan" types, the guy usually has a harem of girls who love him even though he has absolutely no redeeming qualities, and there usually a bunch of fanservice thrown in randomly. oh, and no matter how much the girls love the main character he's always a dumba** who never realizes it no matter how obvious it is.

in this series the guy is actually a semi-decent person who is trying hard to look out for his sister who starts out as a complete b****, and as a result he's a complete deviant in the eyes of the world as he takes a lot of falls for her. No girls like him aside from his childhood friend, and I'm pretty sure he actually does realize she likes him but ep 6 sorta tells why he doesnt respond.

either way, just because this is so far from the typical series I'm loving it, always nice to have some fresh air in the anime world

Agreed. I really enjoyed the ep with the childhood friend, Kirino was getting on my nerves. I also find MC to be a better MC than harem guys.

I just couldn't stop laughing at this part.
Spoiler :
Admit it. We've all gotten a little too excited about a anime that we like.

wow, not quite sure how to react to this ep lol, so many random elements to it
Spoiler :
The fact that one novel had a goth loli being raped and killed and the other had the little sister becoming a sex slave was hilarious lol, especially how neither felt their own novel had any problems. The conversation with his friend while in the hotel was good too heh.
And I thought the part about her being traumatized by his porn searches was pretty funny considering her own tastes. Although it was obvious she was faking :p
Future developments seem to be in motion for the next ep, happy I have not read the manga for spoilers.

It wouldn't matter unless you can read Japanese, anyway. The anime has already outpaced the translations of both the light novel and the manga.

Kirino just reached a all new level of being a bitch. Episode 9 made me sympathize with Kyouske even more.
Spoiler :
Like seriously! I don't have a sister, but listening to her moan over a eroge after taking a shower would be too much. And that slap before the shower scene was pretty intense.

And on another note, Kirino acts exactly like the girl that she hated in the game. I wonder if this is foreshadowing her falling in love with her brother. Or maybe, she'll at least realize all the bull shit that she put him through

lol, the best part of the ep was...
Spoiler :
Finding out the glasses otaku girl actually is an ojou-sama like how they thought she was because of how she typed when they first met her. Gonna be funny when they see her in non-otaku form.

As far as Kirino, i'm wondering what past event caused her to act the way she does. It seems the game scene where the girl says that they used to play in the park a long time ago is probably similar to her past. She definitely starting to be aware of bro-love feelings, but she's acting bitchy cause she doesnt want to admit it.
