The closest person that is comparable to the Oracle so far would be Angel, I would believe.

That would leave Yurippe as Neo. Since Brotonashi seem to have a thing for Angel, I think he'd make a good Morpheus. That would leave that axe halberd crazy dude as Trinity. Shiina could also fill that role, but I think she'd make a better Oracle's Bodyguard dude. Haven't really thought about the others.

Now I kinda feel like watching the Trilogy again.

Oh my god. Episode 13 was so sad. I could barely keep myself from crying

Spoiler :
Oh and....how is the very last scene possible? Otonashi doesn't have a heart. Was he reborn? Did Kanade ever really die, or was she simply unconscious? If she died, were they both reborn with their memories in tact? Was the last scene heaven? Did Otanashi decide to stay, or did he go with Kanade? Was everyone reborn? Does that mean that Hinata and Yui really got married? Does Yuri get reunited with her siblings?

I'd love to get a extra OVA episode to tie up these unanswered questions. I really hope that Angel Beats gets licensed in America. Oh and......I love Kanade <3

EDIT: YES! There actually will be a extra OVA. This is exactly what I wanted. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... ed-special

I love how Otanashi (angel beats) and Izaya (Durarara) have the same voice actor. Both series ended on the same day, but those two characters are almost completely opposite from each other. Izaya is a cowardly jerk that wants to start a war behind the scenes, and Otanashi is a saint that cares more about helping others than himself.

I give Angel Beats a 6.5/10 thanks to TK. Like seriously, "get chance and luck" was the best scene in the series. Rest of the show was eh... classic Key work, just in different space and time. It could have been much more if it just had used the context just for the lulz, but it was Key, so we knew all along it was supposed to be filled of cliché drama. The donor thing was very :bro: though, so I'm okay with that. Overall I wish Key had the balls to do something different for once, but seems like it's just a vain hope. Nothing bad with enjoying the show, but there is much better stuff this season, so I don't get why everybody is drooling all over this ─ I mean, come on, 6 pages while Tatami Galaxy just barely made the 2nd? Is there anyone with taste left on org? :?

EDIT: Oh, and I should say:

It's not Key. As far as I know it's just Maeda and Naga who were involved. First time Maeda did script writing and he had to write for a set length (12 eps) which is something he's never done before as VN scenario writer (see my earlier posts in the thread). Tto me the results are no surprise as the show is heavily "produced". As far as the Lost comment I doubt Maeda knows anything about it. Romeo Tanaka's Cross Channel Visual Novel is a more likely influence.

If you want to get people on Tatami my best advice would be to direct them to a blog of someone who really knows some stuff about animation like this guy http://www.pelleas.net/aniTOP/

A lot of people are saying that they just bawled their eyes out at the ending of the final episode: I'm assuming over Kanade's departure.

But the ending... annoyed me.
Spoiler :
I mean yeah, Kanade disappearing was pretty damn depressing and I had that feeling of wanting to cry but the tears wouldn't flow, but it wasn't sad to that extent.

Also: last scene, WHAT THE --?!

I agree with kireblue on it. Like, nothing made sense out of that scene.
The show probably could have had so much more potential if it was longer. Also if EVERYONE was at that Graduation ceremony, and not just, like, 5 people from the group. ._. I found that pretty lame (I mean I know it'd be time consuming to send everyone off, but that's why you do it on the second last episode,
Spoiler :
then Kanade could reveal the "heart" bit, and then the 5 remaining would graduate in the final episode.)

Just... rrrrgh this was so unsatisfying to me. I walked into this anime wanting a Clannad, and I knew after the first 3 or so episodes that it wasn't going to be like that. I still kept with it because of the storyline and characters, but the ending made me want to bash my head against a wall repeatedly.
Though I will admit that I rather like Otonashi and Kanade together.

Give us an OVA, darn you.
6/10 for me.
