Am I the only one a little bugged by the leaps of logic in this show? Why would you, of your own accord, give your cloths to a nude man accosting you with a gun? Why would you then travel alone with him willingly all over town before deciding you've fallen in love? What kind of police officer in their right mind would accept someones dick as proper identification? (and not assume they're drunk for trying to do so.) Why would some random person on the street give you their pants? (Though that's so odd it may be explained later)

The whole series of events that sets up the premise doesn't make any sense.

I heard in that fansub forum that's a sly political stab against the Republicans most notably this.

Why would you need logic and reasons when you're watching a _fictional anime_? :)
I dare you challenge me.

Funny, I thought the exact same thing when I saw it , but I ended up dismissing it since I couldn't believe that some Japanese animation studio would pay or care enough about a minor american political event that they would bother to put a reference in their show. (And it's so subtle that It would fail as a reference, I'd wager most of the american audience wouldn't get it, let alone the japanese audience.)

That argument is a cop out, and so painfully flawed I shouldn't even have to explain why.

Besides, they've gone to great pains to show this is a realistic world (read; our world,) this isn't a studio 4C art film after all.

No need to thank me, just remember to use it.

On another note, I find it highly amusing that people have only now begun to appreciate Oasis's music merely because it was used for the OP. Funny how once something gets an association with anime it suddenly makes it so much more appealing.

You know me too well.

Also, OP or ED? I've seen quite some discussion over the two, and while we all know they're both great, which do you prefer?

Personally, I'd have to appreciate the ED more. I mean the OP is great and all, but I've seen enough typography motion graphics for it to be nothing too spectacular (albeit this time it was combined with anime) whereas the ED literally blew me away with its use of paper cutouts, especially how they actually displayed the missiles tearing through the buildings. Good stuff.

They did that same kinda stop motion type animation in honey and clover tho, not really new ;p
As for the leaps of logic thing, Apon actually watching the show, Its only the pants scene that seems way outa place like something that wouldn't actually happen IRL. She was chasing after her passport explains the following him around all over DC thing, and perhaps the fact that he was Japanese, saved her, and stark naked right infront of her compeled her to lend him the coat in the beginning, its plausable. Not to mention he does have a somewhat charasmatic personality.

Edit:
I did forget about the dick scene.... ok... perhaps hes crazy? or just so well endowed that he can get away with that.... that black woman officer did seem pleased, and .... its generally hard to impress a black woman ;p
