Passable isn't good enough for such an awesome show. ;)

At least for some of us.

They did sub the OP just to let you know, not that it even matters since it's all in english

Too much shit surrounding Chihiro subs. I'll always go with whatever group is best, but in the case that there is only one group, I'll take it regardless.

As long as I can read it and understand it, then it's fine.

That being said, I finally got around to watching the first episode. I was really surprised, because as much as I love ef, I wasn't expecting myself to like the first episode too much, given the time it took in the first season to progress their relationships. I really liked all of the characters that were introduced in the episode, and the VAs did a great job, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

As with the first season, I do have the favorite couple, and I'm more curious to see how Yu and Yuko's relationship turns out than anything.

My patience has finally pulled off with the GOOD group subbing it! 8-)

And MAN was the first episode pretty trippy. It did gave a solid introduction on what's to come especially at the end of the episode where...
...Kuze seemed to have a heart condition.
Oh yeah, what a great way to introduce Nagi Hirono! Image

I wonder what is her relationship to Hiro?

Okay just saw ep2. I'm with Pas here. Miyuki and Kuze I find really boring compared to Yuu and Yuuko's backstory. Also the presentation of ep2 was marvelous, on many occassions I chuckled to myself saying "amv material right there".

I'm kinda hoping that they uncensore some of those scenes on DVD's. The chances are slim, but hey, it's not impossible =O
Oh, and ep 2 was pretty awesome.

For episode 2,
we learned that Yuu lost his sister in a church fire in which he pretty much can't escape his depressing past. Then comes Yuuko who wants to relinquish his pain. As for Kuze, looks like he's dealing with the dilemma between his violin and his heart as those masks probably represent. There's also an issue of him not opening up towards Mizuki.
You know in a way, this series seemed to be going towards resolving the male protagonists' problems which is almost of a reversal from last season (along with solidifying the main couples). This type of thing could almost be aimed towards girls! :o

Oh yeah, Mizuki is so fun-loving! 8-)

ep3, the drama is really picking up =D
Mizuki meets with Chihiro and finds out that Kuze is dying and so doesn't want anyone to get closer to him. Yuuko seemed to have been bullied in the past for some reason...
ep4 - Miyako and Hiro make a cameo! I actually thought that with all the flashbacks Nagi would have ended up being Hiro's mother rather than sister but maybe I'm thinking the Himura flashbacks are too far back.

Once again... THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CHIHIRO-SUBS except the quality isn't as good as Menclave.

no wait what was I thinking. If Nagi's surname was Himura back then, then of course she's a sister ~_~

Someone is desperately trying to advertise Chihiro fansubs but alas, Menclave get the crowds... :D :D
